  1. I sent you a PM, memorial day weekend is a "go out and have fun" time for the fam.
  2. no. An AG4 player picking up the ball with reroll ( or sure hands ) has a 35/36 chance to picking up the ball. ( 97.2% ) An AG3 player picking up the ball with reroll ( or sure hands ) has a 8/9 chance to pick up the ball. ( 88.8 % ) An AG2 player picking up the ball with reroll ( or sure hands ) has a 3/4 chance to pick up the ball ( 75 % ) So whether picking up the ball, throwing the ball, or catching the ball, an Elf loses 8.5% chance to pick up the ball. A non-elf ( let's not talk about the poor khemri or Ogres ) loses 13.8%. Elves have it better.
  3. The choice that Games Workshop made in selecting it for a whole week.
  4. Arg... the spike site is dead. Anyone have downloaded rules?
  5. Hello, @Burk got an earful of my thoughts ( some might say a whine of my childishness ) last night when we were setting up ( and maybe while we were playing ) our league game about this seasons change to the "end of season" process for the league. Generally, some structure is in place in the rules to limit the upper end of TV to keep more parity in a league, e.g. Spiralling Expenses, expensive mistakes, the new re-buy structure. I wanted to know what peoples idea of an ideal TV is. A TV that would be fun to let's say, prebuild teams to, and you would have fun playing against each other.
  6. OK, I'm In. Save me a space in the car, and like a room and everything. I guess I should look at the rules this year.
  7. On another note, anyone want a Blitzmania game on Tues?
  8. The card this week is shockingly helpful to elf teams. Weird choice.
  9. No really, Shane is cool and all... but I still gotta know.
  10. While Shane is awesome... and I "understand" your timely updates of the tournament... I.. just... gotta... know.
  11. @JJGadget A couple of us are going to be in GG tonight for league game, I can't guarantee you will get a game, but you can hang out and start to get to know our local BB community. I'd stay until closing to get another game in though.
  12. @Weav space requested. Team in ordobowl. team in gamesworkshop
  13. @Weav how early can we get a table at gg. @MidoriMan i can be there by 3ish?
  14. Can i get in my first game on thursday? Anyone want to play?
  15. ok, so... I don't want to be THAT GUY, but... I was looking through the incomplete results we got printed out, so we could talk about the tournament in the car on the way home, and the numbers don't add up. Our results sheet were from after game 3, and only the total points, the touchdowns earned-given and casualty points earned-given were shown. So no completions, or win/loss breakdown. I got 141 total points for 6th place, winning the best Stunty and most Casualties award ( You can only have 1, so I picked CAS as I had never won that before ). I had 2 wins and 1 loss. I wanted to look to see where I would have been in the rankings if I had pulled out a 1-1 tie in my game 2 rather than the 0-1 loss ( darn elves, I needed them to roll just one more "1" ) While some thought Ogres were a poor choice to bring to a tournament, this tournament scoring/team-build format really plays into my Ogre experience. The three things that really were interesting are: 1) all teams get access to Lewdgrip Whiparm as a star player ( he is the reason it is called the "Golden Tentacle" tourney ) and MOST importantly, the 4 stunty teams get him for FREE! This really solves a primary problem I have with Ogres, which is ball control. He is also speed 6 which would be the fastest player on my roster. 2) total points are based on win/tie/loss + bonus points from actions in the game. You get a base 60/30/10 for a win/tie/loss and then add 3 for each TD, 2 for each cas ( and interception ), 1 for each completed pass ( free points for elves, groan ). This is higher than normal, and is not used as a tiebreaker, it goes straight to your total score. So Ogres can get, I figured, 4 CAS a game, which is nice. 3) BUT they added extra bonus points! You get +1 point if a CAS results in a kill ( rare to get ) AND 2 points for a CAS from a foul or crowd push or secret weapon ( so called illegal casualties in the rules )! AND a successful thrown team mate is +1 point! That raises the "value" of CAS by a little bit, the "value" of throwing players, and my snotlings (disposable runts) should get me a nice fouling CAS boost every game! I had 2 wins and 1 loss which is a base 130 points. I had 4 touchdowns ( +12 points ), 19 total casualties! ( +38 points ) with 3 kills ( +3 ), and 2 completed passes ( +2) for a total of 185! If anyone finds an official results breakout, let me know so I can check my numbers. I'm not saying I was going to win, but... at least better than 6th.
  16. Awesome, thanks for setting this up. I hope we can convert some players into the ordobowl leagues.
  17. Yep. what about wrestle rather than tackle on one?
  18. Sounds like fun. Im in with Lizards.
  19. So last year i took ogres and went 2-1 against 2 chaos dwarves and an ork. Anyone find the results of last year?
  20. ok, suggestions on my team. There are no extra benefits to a tier 2 team, so it's either a Tier 1 or Tier 3. Tier 3: Ogre 6 Ogres : Break Tackle X2, Guard X2, Leader 5 Snotlings: Diving Tackle X2 Lewdgrip Whiparm for Free ( now I have a sure hands player ) 2 RR 2 Fan Factor Tier 1: Lizards: 1 Krox - Guard 6 Saurus - Block X2, Break Tackle X2, Guard, Leader 3 Skinks Lewdgrip Whiparm 2 RR 2 FF
