  1. I picked up the book. Seems pretty interesting. One of the things that i liked about BA was that it was relatively cheap to get into. There are always cheap WWII minis. Unfortunately, to up armor my regular force to play Tank War, I have to buy 2 more tanks minimum and enough half tracks for my infantry, as every unit must have transport.

Still, it seems pretty cool, if a bit unrealistic having that many tanks in that small of an area scale-wise.

  2. I am almost done painting up my Viking war band and am looking for a game.

If you don't mind me using some figures that aren't completely painted, we could play a game this week. If you would rather I bring fully painted, then it will be next week.

i can meet at Guardian, Red Castle, or at my house (near Red Castle).

Anyway, if someone would be willing to show me the ropes (or explore the ropes together), hit me up.

  3. It is my understanding that they weren't actually added to the game. They were how they were writing the game originally but then scrapped it in favor of the current system. I think they just put them out with the idea of "here is something cool to play around with if you want." They aren't errata or anything. Just something to toy with with your pals. Which is why there is no real answer to the US question. The US special rule is based off of the actual rules, whereas the airplanes were a different way of representing the same thing. Since the only time i could see the airplanes ever getting used is a friendly between you and your buddy, I would guess the answer about the US special rule would be to do whatever you like.

I have never seen anyone try them out or really express any interest in them and I can't imagine that really changing. That said, if you ever wanted to try them out, I would give it a go.

  4. I have a Roku 3. I bought it because the ESPN app was showing all the World Cup games for free and my old Roku 1 didn't do HD.

I love it. Such an improvement over the Roku 1. Fast, easy to navigate, and the remote/earphone combo is useful when my gal is sleeping and I am watching something all explodey.

We cut cable 4 years ago. I have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I have never felt like I missed a thing on cable.

  5. GOT WHAT I WANTED. Thanks, all.

Hey all. I have a buddy that is interested in getting into SW Xwing and I would like to play with him. That said, i don't really wanna spend any dough. So... I know someone out there bought into this and then never used it/got tired of it/ hated it. Is that you? Wanna trade your starter set (and maybe a few extra ships) for something? Hit me up.

I have nothing GW, but tons of FoW, old Ral Partha, WWIi Microarmor, terrain, board games, etc.

  6. I just left there. There is a lot of FoW Vietnam stuff, quite a few single blisters of regular FoW, a bunch of PSC 15mm minis, and a lot of FoW books.

Lots of Warhammer stuff (i don't know much about it) and a bunch of Warmachine blisters. A bunch of paints.

PSC also makes 28mm soviets. They had soviet AT guns and heavy weapons teams, which i picked up for Bolt Action. i also got some bombed out building for my Bolt Action Stalingrad table.
