    So this question again^

Also, is there a guide somewhere that shows all the TAU suit upgrades and has a pictures of each upgrade as per the GW kits? I'm finding that the crisis suit instructions and codex don't include pictures and matching descriptions for all the bits...

Yeah, they are all just listed as generic support systems in the instructions.  I know on Reddit someone posted a handwritten image that was supposedly drawn by the person who designed the Tau models.  I'll try and track it down for you.

  2. You really should take the time to magnetize your suits, Its very easy to do, and makes choosing what to arm with at any given time in the meta easy. If you need any advice on it, or pointers I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction.

  3. It plays the same as the board game.  It also includes a single player campaign.  The "Legendary" edition includes all of the races available in the tabletop version, so would be the one to get for sure.  I would venture to guess that the Xbox community of players is smaller than PC or PS4, but don't know numbers for sure to back that up.  Although last I heard, prizes for the official season championships were per platform, so maybe fewer players could lead to easier prize money?  I just like being able to pick up and play tournaments against the AI whenever I have time.

Why don't I want Ethereals? Just wondering, I'm very new to this edition's TAU, with my last functional TAU army being in 4th, when they first launched.

Ethereals do not seem to be very useful in this meta. Granted, I have not used an ethereal, so there may be others who have better insight, but consider:

    1. Fireblade is cheaper by 3-9 points depending on ethereal loadout

    2. Ethereal invocations are very lackluster, a side from storm of fire, which requires you to stand still and you get the same result with one marker light hit.

    3. Fireblade has volley fire ability, increasing your volume of fire substantially, even works on gun drones.

    4. Fireblade is your best option for the initial marker light hit on a unit, with his 2+ BS, allowing everything else to get the reroll 1s, including future marker light shots.

    5. Ethereal is armed with melee weapons

    6. Ethereal has 1 fewer wound.

  5. I won't be able to make Tuesday night (or any Tuesdays unless I win the lottery), but want in on the league.  I can play on Saturdays or Sundays at WoW, GG, or pretty much any store east of there (can even pull off Vancouver).  I live in almost Sandy Gresham and have 3 killzone boards/terrain if you want a non-shop meetup.  I'll be posting my Kill Team roster later in the week, but expect much Greater Goodness.

Darn, that's what I thought. Maybe I'll use this as an excuse to paint up my tyranid warriors (which are also chaos spawn...). My Warriors have 1 pair scything talons and 1 pair rending claws, how many can I field?

Warrior is 20 points, no additional points for that configuration.

Great question, Scott and I are working out the details, but YES is my answer and i'll make Scott stick to it . We're going to try and make this fun and not feel like work :yourock:

That's great news for me also. Tuesdays are a beyootch for me to be able to get to. Sundays should work. So I have several teams that I only have models to reach 100 points, but have Tau for a full 20 man roster potentially.  I'm guessing Tau would be my best choice for the league due to casualties and such?

  9. So Friday around 7 or so?  I'm hoping to make it.  If so, I will bring the rulebook, box set board, mechanicum board and munitorium board and several sets of tokens and cards.  Will probably bring a couple of different teams as well.  I'm hoping terrain won't be an issue, cause I don't want to haul all of that stuff as well.

  10. Very nice! I might need to start a thread also.  I've got Death Guard, T'au, Grey Knights, Gene Stealer Cults and Astra Militarium from the starter box, and the Reiver and Orkz boxes going.  Unfortunately, most of the box teams require additions or swapouts in order to hit the ~100 point mark. I feel like I'll be starting a trade thread seeking 1 or 2 of a bunch of different armies' models, lol.

  11. I kind of went all in on Kill Team. Preordered the box set, Fangs of Ulfrich, Krogskull's Boyz, Sector Mechanicus Killzone and Datacards...  Will be preordering the Sector Munitorium next week most likely.  I'm not sure on the two new Kill Teams. The Genestealer box doesn't seem like much of a savings, as it's like 2/3 of the Munitorium containers (about $33.50) plus $30 worth of Genestealers for (I'm guessing) $60, only saving about $3.50.  The AM box would be a bit better deal at about $8.50 savings.

Unless they make more new terrain ranges, beyond Killzone: Xenoscape, do we think they will make any other Killzones?  I don't think  STC Ryza-Pattern ruins or Wall of Martyrs will end up as a Killzone, and certainly not any of the Tau fortifications.
