  1. The easier way to take care of this is by color correcting your images.

What you are interested in is setting a custom white balance in your camera.  In some (not all) cameras you first take a picture of a blank white field under the lighting conditions you are using.  Simply placing a sheet of paper and taking a pic of that works fine.  This now gives you a reference image.  If your camera supports a custom white balance function you can use this as a reference for the rest of your pics for that session.

I could also go into color correcting in post, and shooting in RAW vs JPG, but I'm intentionally being vague as I don't know how complciated you want to get or what your camera is capable of.  I do photography on the side and have tackled this issue for a while.  It's easy once you know how.

Check your camera manual or search "Custom White Balance" for your camera.

  2. From the blog:

"First of all thank you to everybody. I appreciate everyone whose checked out my blog here and bought my products. I've had some folks asking what's going on and in fairness I'll tell you.

The short answer is that between a full time job, family, 2 home businesses, and hobbies I was stretched too thin. It was becoming too much and affecting my clients and more important my family. Priorities, man, priorities.

I'm wrapping up a few mistakes I made regarding shipments and leaving the store closed. I would expect to a few posts, but my 2-3 times a week was way too aggressive. I'm now shooting for twice a month, but no promises.

I'm also closing to commissions. I can't make timeline commitments so I'd rather not get into any hot water.

As far as posts I'm going back to showing conversion projects rather than product builds. As my hobby time is now rather limited they'll be very focused on either my Orks or my Space Wolves, the only Armies I have left. "

  3. The more I think about, to avoid any entanglements I could make up a set of facades at a standard size. These could then be glued to card or sheet styrene then painted. This could be for corridor walls, and for external walls on buildings, something I've been asked to look into.

I'm willing to make the masters and molds, if I could get help with supplies and blank walls and building shells.

  4. As a counter to the negative climate that seems to be norm around 40k allow me to buck the trend.

We made up a scenario based on older ones, with a relatively simple victory condition (I needed to destroy a thing, that blew up of course, he needed to keep me from destroying it), victory point for killing things outright.

The lack of subtlety involved in our game was so great we could focus on moving around our toys and having fun.

Let's not forget why we play, rather than on how we can win.

Thank again man, the new Warboss is enjoying his throne!
