  1. Honestly, I feel we are all responsable for this climate.  Too many times when we get a new codex our first thought is "how can I crush my opponent" rather than "how can I have fun with my friends"  Yup, there is codex creep, but it's on us to make the game actually fun for each other.  If you keep bringing the wave-knight-rip-formation of doom against me, I'll tell you it sucks.

It reinforces to me that GW isn't in tourny business.  They are in the answering to shareholder business.  Of course they are milking it for everything it's worth.  So do camera companies, so do auto part accessory companies.

  2. Never mind.  I figured it out.  It's simple.  If you are using Blogger and want an image in your post to show up in someone else's blogroll you have to upload it to blogger, not just provide an image URL in the post.

Simple really, explains why I couldn't make it go...

  3. So my nerdling daughter is really into dragons right now, but not at all interested in SciFi.  She said she'd play a dragon game, so  I figured I'd use the X-Wing system with some house alterations for some dragon battles.  Before I embark on this type of project I'd like to get a line on some appropriately sized dragon minis.  Man O War Dragon riders would work, but they are spendy, if you can find them.

Anybody have a good source for dragons about the size of X-Wing minis?

  4. 6 Ironclads with a Heavy Flamer, a Meltagun, and 2 Hunter Killers each! Run them with the Iron Hands trait. Not competitive (get off me Abuse Puppy / Pretre) but certainly a cool look and lots of fun to play in my humble (lol) opinion.

The cornerstone of my build. I'm going with 3 Ironclads, a Contemptor, and 2 standards with long range fire power.
