Team USA looked much better last night; the new front line was awesome, Morgan roaming freely was impressive. Not sure they need to put Rapinoe back in...
Still not convinced they'll beat Germany though
Canada fell to a very aggressive England today. A terrible 3 minutes was the only blight; but giving up 2 in that span is almost always fatal. Canada deserved better.
England have the potential to beat Japan, who looked average.

A-club's has a base. For our foes to leave offerings of boxed plastic models, and alcohol.

Swedish Comp is a hundred times worse than ITC
I would never suggest we have an identical system, but something of that concept.
It may not work for 40k, it just may be too difficult.
I'm more inclined to just allow anything these days, and let the community live with it.

On the issue of tourneys.
I was chatting with my FLGS owner today. He used to be a very senior manager with GW.
He told me that in over last few of years there was open talk at management meetings about actively discouraging tourney play. Not just bycutting community support, not just by ditching GTs, but by active changes to the rules.
This was foreshadowed up to 3 years ago.
We are stubbornly, to GWs annoyance I'm sure, clinging to something they don't want us to do.
Which of course is ironic, as competition is human nature; and the structure is still ripe for non-narrative play.

generally - ITC may just have killed itself.

actually I take it (some) back - that's his first red card!
he's had plenty of yellows
(when I watched him play in the EPL he was a chippy and chirpy player, but he obviously got away with a lot more than I thought!)

It is not better, but it may be a way, and I say MAY, to rate/rank teams in a formal manner without limiting player's choices in what seems to increasingly be an arbitrary manner.
No system is perfect, but I hope we can find a less imperfect system.

Dempsey's always been a [big bad swear word]ing tool.

Sorry, I'm in smug mode right now...
This is why I hate it when TOs start dicking around with structural components of the game.
I appreciate that the game is evolving in such a way as to not help competitive play, but when you start restricting/allowing certain formations etc. without considering the consequences you should expect to get flak.
Whilst I'll always be a "comp-whore" even I have to recognize that the times are a changing; I think the way OFCC has gone about it is the best solution for now.
Unless someone can come up with a Swedish Comp system for 40k. One that does not start WW3....

The LRC has not received any lists since the submission deadline.
I'm sure Joel will get them to us soon.

FW Thanatar....
Hips narrower than a catwalk supermodel, and probably just as flimsy!
Needs pinning all over the place, some parts just want to fall off...
Trying to align two legs, two feet, two hip joints and one groin plate simultaneously.... Well... Language!!!!
And it's not even for me.
