Iirc you were second. I won because of the number if tickets I bought... Or something weird like that.

Agreed. For example I'm paining a Thanatar right now - $150.
Ten solar auxillia? $150! So freaking fiddly; the orks of 30k!
-
I'm doing contract painting now, but I can tell you.... Orks will be expensive.... Just out of spite. Fething hate painting those little fethers!

I guess I'll have to win again...

Its the new GW model - pile on moar stuff over an above the basic codex.
the codex is just fine - lots of cool stuff, but for more competitive play you may want to look at the Leviathan rules. There are some kick-ass formations in there.

Great tutorial, but I have one small problem with using cork as a base...
It looks like cork!
I think, especially when stacking layers, modellers need to use more fill (spackle, textured gel etc) to remove the obviousness of the layers. The top also needs texturing.
It's not easy, I'll give you that, but every time I see models based on cork, I think... "Ah, more Irish armies!"

I only saw one Imperial Knight last year.Lol knee-jerk responses.
Considering what I heard about the reaction to knight armies last year, I think we are being measured.
There was also a lack of counters in Codexes last year.
-
My opinion of the knights differs slightly from other LRC members - it really depends on what else is in the army. If it is a bunch of bare bones termagants then I might let it fly - as long as there was a good story and lots of conversions!
but generally I would not be in favour of a multi-Knight list.
-
need to buy one with a tank, water trap and pressure gauge.
other than that they are pretty much all the same - they just go up in price, quickly!

OK. So hopefully the ITC thing is up to date, and the LRC can take the restrictions on things like scat-bikes into consideration.
-
Second, there is the ITC FAQ, which acts as a supplement to the official GW FAQs. Organizers are free to use these (or not) as they please, as ITC itself has no official policy on the matter at all. Strictly speaking, this does not include the rules changes they have made to Invisibility, Str D weapons, or 2+ rerollable saves, but it is not uncommon for tournaments to include some of these elements. OFCC (both halves of it) will be using these FAQs.
So are we using the Str D, invisibility modified rules as you outlined above?
I think this is cause the most confusion.

sooo no decurions eh? ;D
No fething way!

Pm/email Joel?
Still awaiting a response to others questions from him, so I'll wait until I know he is active.

If I ever get acces to the forum I'm sure we'll have a few discussions! You're on the LRC, you tell me if you see a Green Tide + VSG, then we can start having a discussion, until then?
That has not happened yet. And yes, I've PM a few people...
-
Well given that a big FAQ issue is the VSG.... Which can be a game changer... I dont think discussing it with a green tide player who is intending to use the VSG as FAQed is really going to work.Hell, when OFCC did INAT, I still said KFF only gave out 5+ to my vehicles even though INAT said 4+.
You either use the FAQ entries or you don't. You can pick them as a TO to be used, but you really can't have the situation where players RPSLS over the FAQ.
-
Ok, this is getting confusing! At least as far as the FAQ is concerned,
As a captain I'd appreciated some clarity from the TO.
-
So I assume all these changes will go into the ITC FUQ, and it will be applied at OFCC?
How long does it typically take ITC to update their FUQ?
And yes, that was deliberate....
-
OFCC allows everything in the team event.
Even FW experimental rules?
If so - wow - and cool! That changes my army list quite a bit.
-
With 14 ( or is it 15?)fully painted armies including 3 pretty obsolete ones (kroot mercs, penitent SoB, all stormtrooper army), and three that have just been put away (armoured co, dark eldar and tzeentch CSM) I have not chased the meta for many years.
I buy cool models, and make them fit in my army.

Well he lives in LA... I guess Canada was too tough for him.
