  1. There's no offical errata. Basically, every mordheim campaign I've been envolved with comes down to the players setting house rules for the campaign.

There used to be an errata on GW's website...

    here's a drop box link:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/tezhcjox3plb70v/MHRRv7.pdf

It could still be buried somewhere on black library's site, but i assumed they dropped all the old specialist games files either when they stopped supporting the line or when they launched the new site.

There should be a big bin of Mordheim Terrain at WoW. And Rhuntar may have more. You'll have to PM him.

Chappy's right.  There's a big box of Dan's stuff, and a big box of my scratchbuilt terrain at Wow.  I could dig out my gangways and ladders and make sure they're with them.  Probably enough for 2 or 3 tables at once (and I do mean proper mordheim tables)

I've got tons of old files for mordheim on a flash drive, so let me know if you're looking for anything.

I'd be interested in playing, although my schedule's a little hectic at the moment.

  2. I believe it's an either/or.

Your list is either unbound or battle forged.

If unbound, take anything from any source, nominate one character as your warlord and his army is your primary (for determining who is battle bros, desperate, etc.)

If you're trying to get the bonuses from a Cad all your models need to fit into a detachment or formation.

  3. So for a confuzzled Ork Player:

Ork Codex by itself = OK

Ork Codex + any non-Ork Codex as an Ally = OK

Ork Codex + allied Ghazghkull Codex = Not OK ?(because you can't ally with your own faction unless you're Marines of two different paint schemes)

Ork Codex + single Ork Formation (regardless of source? Ork Codex as main and add in the Bully Boyz formation from the Ghazghkull codex) = OK ?

You can actually fill your CAD (normal force org) or Ork Horde Detachment (3 hq 9 troop faq) with selections from any Ork Faction.  So if Ghaz supplement has new unit types (and is Ork Faction, not its own faction) you could slot them into normal force org slots to fill a CAD.  The same for Forge-world army lists if they are ork faction.

I don't think these books specifically are this way, at the moment, however.... I think the Ghaz supplement is mostly just formations...

But, to try and reiterate for clarity.  In a CAD formation, if we had 2 or 3 books that are all deemed Ork Faction, you could pick 1 HQ from the Codex Orks, 1 HQ from the Ghaz supplement, 2 Troops from Codex, a Heavy Support of a Tank from the Deffmob (IA8), a Looted Wagon as a Heavy support from the White Dwarf, and a Heavy support of Lootas from the Codex.  And then still take a Formation from any Faction source.

(Or you could even take a Tau or Tyranid formation if you wanted... those models would just be restricted by ally type - desperate allies or come the Apocalypse allies...)

As long as the selections are from the same faction, you can fill the force org from any source.  It makes tracking rules a pain, if supplements have their own army wide rules (e.g. imperial fists from SM and from their supplement)

Am I right?  Does that make sense?  Correct me/clarify me if not

  4. Can't Ghaz get the 2+ invul like all the time now with the call a waagh every turn after the first FOC?

No. Don't think so. If you run the Ork horde formation, the war boss from that formation has to be your warlord to get the call the waaagh every turn rule.

Ghaz only gets his 2+ if he's the warlord.

  5. Sounds good. Da boyz have been on the mood for a little light Waaaagh-ing. We'll be there, ready to whet your blades.

... I mean... Stomp sum stoopid huumies...

Balls. Actually my week is looking pretty chaotic due to life at home this week. It would probably be best to plan a game with someone else. Ill be there at some point, but am not sure when or if ill be able to grab my models...

Someone play Chappy for me please?

  6. Rhuntar!!!! My Templars need to whet their blades in Orkish blood! If not Rhuntar, then I would love to get a game of 40k in.

  8. I posted up in tonight's game night thread, but ill repeat myself here:

I've got my deadzone assembled and am bringing it along with starters for the 4 factions and am hoping to get a slow, learning type game in. I'm hoping to be able to run demos in upcoming weeks.

Let me know if anybody's interested.

@pretre I'm hoping to be able to head your way some weekend soonish... How much warning do you typically need to be able to schedule a game?

  9. I'm hoping to bring my deadzone stuff and try a learning game. I could use 1 or 2 people willing to go through a slow game or two. Hopefully next week and beyond I can run full on demo/teaching games if anyone's interested.

I can always bring 40k too, if anyone calls me out for a game.

  10. I'm planning to swing in tonight and bring my newly received deadzone stuff for ogling and some light hobby time.

I believe the planetary empires campaign is doing their terrain night, so come down and put some kits together, or whatever else terrain master Bryan might have you do.
