Hmmmm so turns out Thanksgiving is the weekend later than I thought. So the 30th is the weekend of Thanksgiving.

I feel like we have good turnout for local GTs, should try to do more small events in between tournaments to grow interest. Also gives people chances to test new lists and such if they dont get many games in on a regular basis.

For sure a 1 day thing. Thinking 2-3 games, doesnt have to be super formal tournament style or anything like that. Just trying to get some people to come out and play games 🙂

Could make those days work. 23rd is thanksgiving weekend so might be hard to get people, but we can ask around. I'll put up a poll in the PNW 9th Age Facebook group and see what people want. Also could do it here. Idk if there are poll options here

Depends on how many people we could get to show up. If the Bellingham guys and the Portland guys travel we could have a good sized group. Wouldn’t want to impose that on anyone to host. But if it is a small group, I gladly would bring beer and pizza.

Shoooooot, if i had room at my place to have like 4 tables i totally would be down to host. There is Mox in Seattle & Bellevue, I think they only have 4 tables. I dont know how hard it would be to reserve them.

Where is the best meeting place halfway between Portland and Bellingham? We should try to get a 3 game mini tournament in November.

I always assumed it meant only R&F both ways because of how the boosted is worded. But I could be playing it wrong. I guess it could potentially hurt you then. I just knew I couldn’t use it as a hex to make killing enemy monster characters easier, never thought about it making my big characters easy to kill. Maybe ask the forum rules section for clarification

Wheel turns won’t affect your pendulum because it only affects rank and file

Quick maths! I don’t think dropping the hulks down to regular ones is worth it. But I think a couple clan rats, some swarms, and a couple magic items might. Also gives you another channel too.

I like it. I think shamanism works amazing with Ogres.

You could drop the wizard hat and rod of battle, and rat swarms and 1 clanrat and get a naked magister for 2 spells for witchcraft which could give you some good hexes/buffs. Or thaum for another missile or debuff. Idk now set you are on the rat swarms

I mean Josh kicked my ass at Ordo so the rankings don’t tell it all 🤔 but I did place well a couple times this year so that helps. We need to schedule a Zoo practice day

Thanks everyone for the great weekend and gaming! Especially @TheBeninator for running a super smooth event, had absolutely no problems or issues what so ever. Had 5 great games against 5 great opponents, and loved my 1st OFCC! Will definitely be back for more! Also forgot to mention it yesterday when we were talking about future tournaments, but there are a few upcoming tournaments in 2019 if anyone is interested - Infernal Zoo - October 5th-6th in Sacremento. Alex runs a great tournament, he came up to March to War last year and brought a big group of guys from Cali, so we should try to get a good sized group to go support his tournament. I know Andrew, Ben, and I are signed up, would love to see some more PNW people down there. Tides of War - November 9th-10th (Veteran's Day Weekend) in Phoenix. This is my home club's GT, it is a ton of fun. Hoping to have around 30 people this year. I know lots of people in Phoenix so if you are worried about rides from airports, places to stay, etc. reach out to me and I can get you hooked up. Pacific Rim - Dec 7-8 in San Francisco. Kenyon's running his Team Tournament again this year. 5 man teams, would love to get a PNW team to go down and compete! Team tournaments are always a fun and different way of playing 9th Age!
