  1. Actually stoked to get all that paperwork together, haha.  Trying out Tempest of War was cool.  It does lead to some questions in Crusade.

Minorly, how to handle Agendas.  The selection step is missing in missions for ToW, but that could just get slotted before Create the Battlefield.

Second, the Crusade-specific missions have Crusade-specific rewards for the victor.  Playing ToW we'll be missing out on these.  Some examples are victor gets 2 RP instead of 1 or can Marked for Greatness on 2 units instead of 1.

  2. Yo @Brother Glacius!

    1) Additional attacks are usually "each time the bearer fights, make X additional attacks with this weapon" and not "each time the bearer fights with this weapon, it makes additional attacks."

Example.  Model with 3 attacks armed with power fist and astartes chainsword.  Allocate 3 attacks to the power fist, and cause he's fighting he gets one more attack with the chainsword.

    2) Piling in and such:  yes you got it.  The only additional thing I can think of is melee attacks for models that are not in close combat range.   A model can fight if it is within 1/2" of another model from their own unit that is within 1/2" of an enemy unit.  Thus, if you are piling in to only .9 inches, your second rank of models could not attack.

I am not a rules lawyer!

  3. @andozane I have a soft spot for 3rd through 4th cause of that book.  Played CSM, earlier with a biker demon bomb - later to the infamous lash sorcerer.  CSM at this time was limited mostly to imagination and was all about kitbashing.  The Lords in 3rd had a thousand combinations!  This is all closer to home after Jump Pack Lords/Sorcs (and Lightning Claws) got lost in the new codex.

I do miss the vehicle rules for older editions.  I think taking armor values out for toughness is fine, but I loved the added tables for glancing and penetrating hits.  They made vehicles feel distinct.  While I've enjoyed 9th, I don't really love the rules "bloat" but at this point I don't mind just getting tabled in complete surprise to a new thing anymore.
