Your Comments on SPRING Battle Mashup - recruit new players

Here is an idea for recruiting new players.

In the spring, say a Saturday in Mid-March or Early April, we have an event where we demo / tutor many of the games that we play:

• Wings of Glory WWI airplanes
• WWII TANKS!
• WWII Flames of War

1. Could be one table each for mid-war and late-war

• WWIII Team Yankee

One game system on each table, with a coach.

• First round is learn-to-play (30-60 minutes)
• Second round is a competitive game with a mission / historical scenario on each table.

Since new players are not bringing miniatures, there is a "lend-lease" aspect where the new players are borrowing a veteran's models.

Incentives for participation could be prize drawings for miniatures or store gift certificates

My suggestion for an event title is "World Wars Battle Mashup"

If this has an enthusiastic reception and/or recruits new players, we could repeat it later in the year for 'Nam, Fate-of-A-Nation reboot, Great War reboot and FoW Eastern Front

I think this is a good idea. Kinda a joint effort to demo multiple games. How do you get the word out to people outside the group? People I know I've already talked to about FoW. Does guardian help advertise events on their website?

I'll likely have a primed / unpainted army (with blu-tac) I could use for Opposing force for Team Yankee.  My East Germans should be close to done too...

I'd be up for coaching either mid or late war. Although I don't have enough mid war kit to provide both forces.
