barca
Just getting into 40k. Saw this being re-released: Lost Patrol - Death in the Jungle Board games with mini's. Ques: how close is board game to the core 40k sys (i.e BRB)? If good starting point, and not too far off core system, might buy this before getting codec.
WestRider
I haven't seen the Rules for Lost Patrol, but none of their other Board Games have used Rules similar to those from 40K itself.
Threejacks
About the only minigame that may be even close to core 7th edition is the new Battle for Vedros starter game set.But even it is very basic and with your FoW backround, you would find it too simplistic I think. Heres a post I linked the Vedros info in,,check out the video if you are interested:) http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/28254-battle-for-vedros/
barca
Thx 4 the 'vice. Seems like time better spent just cracking open BRB, digging into it, trying out smallest points and simplest mission to crawl before walking.
WestRider
Crusade at 500 Points is a pretty good start for most possibilities. There are a few Factions where that won't work out too well, tho.
