  1. lol - my current group - we have 3 GM's… we rotate between WHFRP, 3.5 straight D&D fantasy and my 3.5 take on D&D into SteamPunk land.  - we only play once every 2-3 weeks - We have not looked at Pathfinder… mostly because we can get everything we want nearly free for 3.5.  We have players whom play Savage worlds…and I play and GM just about anything RPG… and have the unplayed collection of games to prove it -  :blush:

     

    - 5e looks nice…reviews sound nice.  But moving my current group would be pretty hard.  I am thinking I will probably want to round up a new group to make that leap :).  My problem is that Fantasy… is probably my least fav. RPG setting lol.  I don't mind playing though :)

  2. - I will be looking for some learning games in the next month or so till OFCC - 40k.  I have my army put together - and I am slowly painting what needs to be done.  But I need to learn how to play 7th LOL (agh!…details - details).

     

    anyhow, I will be looking for a game o'40k 2k (OFCC style) with my Eldar wraith-kin force.  I can probably be there by 4-ish… but not firm on that yet.

I saw the movie for the 2nd time last night - still love it.  I couldn't help but think…that the movie reminds me of GMing an RPG for my typical set of players.  "you want to play a talking Raccoon?  …what?… a tree?… seriously a big brute that speaks with a rather large vocabulary?… ugh…."

The model used to have 2 crew separate of the gun - sounds like GW's newer model has it molded together.  I would say that the eldar player was right based on the history of the figures used for this crew.  I think this is a case of GW rules not quite in line with what the designers created in the most recent support weapon kit.  all in my opinion - as I play the support weapon crew… but with the older metal figures - which is 2 crew - and a separate gun platform.

Ok - I sat down last night and reviewed all my painted minis… along with the few things I think I can get done for OFCC.  Here is my list… slight adjustments and critique welcome.  Hoping to get a few dozen games in to fine tune my plans.  I am wondering about using a wall… not sure where to get the points yet - but I did pick up a defensive wall (Eldar version of a Aegis Defence Line) from Cmon last year that is unpainted.  

    Using BattleScribe … not sure how accurate it is yet.  I will double check all the points this weekend - but it comes in at 2,000 exactly.

    I have no idea as to what the rating may be as of yet.
