It looks like I will not be playing this year and I am very sad about that 

Hoping things will work out next year.

I am sad about this, too.

First, the Brawl, and then, who knows…. I am rumored to have two of my books coming out. 

I played Bearfoot Adam's Bret's tonight. That is a tough army to crack. Woodies don't do well with 1+ rerollable armor saves matched with Wards and Leadership 10. The game ended in a tie. I ate his smalls. He killed mine. I veered from the dance at the end and went against his best unit. I should have picked of his men at arms and Knights Errant and avoided the rest of his army.

On the painting front, I finished and flocked the base for the Great Eagle. Tonight, I started on layering the eagle.

Sprayed the Eagle. Put on the first court of Scorched Brown aka Dryad Bark on the beast. Then, I turned my attention to the base. The browns, greens, and stonework is done.

Now for the Bret bits.

Fine cast is done. That is a good thing. It is all plastics now.

GW will be consolidating HQs. Germany's HQ will close and fold into administrative units.

Faeit212 blows a lot of smoke.

I am not as enamored with the lore as you are. 

Tree Singing and Fury of the Forest are nice, but by no means great or potent spells

Hidden Ways is okay vs. mundane shooting and can move unit through terrain, but the range is limited.

The fear, terror spell is worthless. 

Ariel's Blessing is okay, but it does not help against Fire and Metal Spells.

Call of the Hunt is Winner and the last spell of it's type.

Every Lore, sans Lore of the Wild is better.

Dwarf Rumours - Consolidated.

-New Clampack Hero.

-New Gyrocopter Kit. It is suppose to look beefier with a bomber and machine gun variant and the possibility of taking squadrons.

-A Plastic Kit that can make Hammerers or Iron Breakers.

-A Plastic Slayer Kit. In the kit, there are bits to make berserkers and giant slayers. 

-There will be a new Dual kit which will make a Throne carried by 4 Dwarves, in which Thorgrim Grudgebearer or a normal Dwarf Lord can be mounted. The kit will also make the Anvil of Doom, which is swapped out with the seat of the throne and carried by 4 Dwarves, and counts as a mount for a Runelord. The model will be on a 60x100 base and is pictured in a unit.

-Plastic Tunneling Vehicle

-Plastic New VERY large gun/cannon

-Runelord can't add DD

-Dwarf army can add 2 DD every magic phase

-Anvil is Bound spell.

-Possible new shooting unit that act like blunderbusses for CD.

The bark girls and painted and flocked. While waiting for the flocking to dry, I went to spray paint my Eagle. Sadly, I cannot find the spray paint. My cat attacked it over the Christmas Break. Now, I cannot remember where I put the paint after the feline harassment.

Oh, Bother.

Hopefully, I will pick up some paint tomorrow at Guardian.

The Staff allows Tree Singing to be cast multiple times in a single spell phase and increases the distance the trees move. In 6th, I used the Staff in most battles. 

After work last night, I washed the greens and painted and Ungor skull on the base. 

Tonight, I will work on the owl.

Last week, we had a sweet TNT game and 2400 point rematch. Laughter and joyous shouting repeated erupted from the hall.

It was great to have Seth and Ogres join us.

This week, the doors open at 6 PM.

I am looking for a 2400 game to pit my WE against. Any takers.

Yup, your caster would not be taken alive and preferred the Warp to death at the hands of the WE.

Last night, I was thinking about the Lore of Athel Loren. I wish they would revisit the old Lore of Life spell list where the terrain would activate and attack those on it. I could see a Rain spell making the ground dangerous terrain and BS units not be able to fire or a Master of Stone having hills move and stun or damage units on it. Perhaps, there could be a mistress of the marsh spell that would half movement or even create small marshes on the battlefield. There could be a lighting bolt or wind gust type spell as well.

The layering of the greens is done. Now, I need is wash the greens.

Hello Fantasy, it has been a week.

I have been listening to a great deal of podcasts. They help pass the week and keep me up on trends, meta, and hobby tips.

Three dryads are painted and waiting flocking. The fourth is drying after the wash layer for the browns. The greens are next. The owl is last. For the last owl, I remember looking at online images to find the paint scheme.

Finally, I had a nice rematch against TJP.

The list had more Trolls, dropped the War Shrine and rerollable 1+ AS on the Mage.

I danced about. I did a lot of dancing. The patience paid off. I sacrificed my eagle and Wild Riders to for good match ups. The match ups paid off.

Lessons,

1. I did not should have dropped Hidden Ways for Tree Singing. Two tree singings would have be nice to battle in and around trees.

2. The Ward Save MoT Lord Caster is potent with or without the re-roll.

3. Treekin are a better match than the Dragon or Treeman vs. the Giant.
