  1. This is quickly turning into a Warpspace discussion, but I agree with Eben in regards to the value of degrees in today's America.  My history degree is an albatross that I wish I had never gone for.  I wish I had gone right into the work force at 18 instead of going to school.

Of course, a lot of the value I got out of college made me a better person and more rounded all around, but the ROI was terrible.  I just wish it hadn't been essentially required as the next step in life post HS.

  2.

Bolster Defences: After deployment, but before Scout

redeployments and Infiltrate deployments, nominate one
piece of terrain in your deployment zone (this may not be
one you have purchased as part of your army) . The terrain
piece's cover save is increased by one for the duration of the
game (to a maximum of 3+) . For example, a ruin (4+ cover
save) would instead offer- a 3+ cover save. A piece of terrain
    can only be bolstered once.

    I bolded the key line.

  3. Get out of here!  Wait for solid evidence before jumping to conclusions!?!?  YOU CRAY CRAY!

Incidentally, I was one of the people that AFTER looking at the old Nid Codex thought certain units would be great that turned out to not be great (hormagaunts).

  4. I am in Puyallup, which is a suburb of Tacoma.  I'm using the HoR Kill Team rules, yes.

I've been following your posts and I think this sounds awesome.  I like skirmish games a ton and these seem like an easy way to use 40k models in a skirmish setting.

  5. Looking at playing some Kill Team (maybe even a campaign!?!?).  Thought up a cool Inquisitor + Retinue themed force.

    Ordo Xenos Inquisitor:  58
      Pskyer, Power Armor, Force Sword

    10 Veterans:  130
      2x Plasmaguns

    Ogryn Bone'ead:  50

    Ratling:  10

    248 pts

Pretty cut and dry, but I think the Ogyrn and Ratling work better in a small environment like a Kill Team mission.

Thoughts from those who have played Kill Team?

  6. GW seems to have real issues trying to balance out horde units.  I hold little hope with this dex that loads of gribblies will be good.  As well, the changes to 6th edition put a lot of power in the hands of MCs, so I don't doubt that they will be the creme de la creme of units in the dex...again.

    Oh well.

  7. Take this as advice from someone with terrible modelling skills.

I would make it look more battle-damaged.  Perhaps get hacking at the section that would hold the sarcophagus.  Make it look like it got ripped out of there and then put some skrap plasticard over it.  But, at the minimum, needs bullet dents and such.  Looks too clean.

The book on the shoulder needs to go, what Ork would have a book!?

I also think that the heavy bolter should be altered to be more like a shoota.

    Those are my thoughts.
