Wanted to have a better backdrop for photographing my miniatures. Threw this together in an afternoon:
Palanite Enforcers versus Poxwalker mob:
“Return to you Hab-Blocks or we will be forced to social distance you with extreme prejudice!”
And here’s a couple shots using Marvel: Crisis Protocol figs. There’s a definite grimdark aesthetic to the design, but I think it’s generic enough to work for a modern-ish setting too:

I didn’t specify what week... 😉
How about tonight around 5?

Mortis Dreadnaughts are a Forge World unit (to the consternation of old school Dark Angels players everywhere) that even the most bitter of “no Forge World evar!” type players generally won’t balk at.

And this, children, is why old school gamers bring 10’ poles into dungeons.

I’m very much behind on my codices, but if I recall correctly, Salamanders and Iron Hands can both field a very strong mostly Dreadnaught army if they use Masters of the Forge for HQs and minimal Troops.
It’s not purely Dreadnaught, but it’s got good synergy with chapter traits, relics, and tactics. Fluffy too.

Great progress, @Ish. I definitely bit off more than I can chew this week 😞 Stoooopid teleconferencing software.
My primary employer seems to have ghosted me. Last Friday, they said they’d call on Monday to let me know if there was still work... as of right now, a full seven days and one hour later, they haven’t called or responded to my e-mails.
It’s really opened up my hobby time.

Given that all the magic words in Harry Potter are based on pseudo-Latin doggerel (even worse than GW’s Gothic) I’ve always thought it would be hilarious to have a muggle-born child of a stuffy British linguistics professor attend Hogwarts.
”’Leviosa’? I think you mean levitātibus. But that’s the ablative plural, indicating motion towards and plural. Let’s try levitātem...”

I think it looks pretty dang good... But if you want to experiment with the technique some more, can I suggest Gaslands?

Those should work. I’ll let you know a more precise time by Friday night.

I asked Heisenberg, he was uncertain.
So I asked Schrödinger, he said it could be either way.
Hubble told me he’d look into it.
Kinsey just shrugged and told me “F—k it.”

Sorry, sorry. Been a weird week as I’m not sure if I’ve been furloughed or not.
Because, after working us all to death for the first month of the quarantine, they’ve suddenly been confronted by the fact that they have no product moving off the shelves and thusly no incoming revenue with which to pay us... I might be at work during those hours. I might not be.
I’m still waiting for the phone call from the head office about this... a phone call that was scheduled for last Friday.
On the plus side, I’ve gotten a load of painting projects done.

4Ground Publishing has a small selection of Battle Kiwi stuff, mostly for “Star Battles,” which is similar to but legally distinct from Star Wars. Looks great and makes a nice alternative to the Always Ruined Always Gothic style typical of WH40k terrain.

I missed my hair appointment in Jan, and we're coming up on when I'd be coming in again. I'm tempted to do my hair, but I don't know about getting the lines right, even with clips.
So much easier when I just buzzed my hair.
I was about a month overdue for a haircut when this whole mess started. It’s getting really ridiculous now.
Both my kids have compared me to Greg Universe.

In this strange age, it's best to start your day with IPA. 181 OR BUST
That’s a weird way to spell “whisky.”

The kilt are, technically, a form of skirt. It’s only in the last two or three centuries when the bloody sassenachs in the south started spreading rumors that skirts were unmanly... forcing some less confident Scots to start the meme that skirts and the kilt are different.
