Interesting. I never realized that Amazons could start with four Blodgers. Mr. Burk, sir, I realize it's against the spirit of the game, but have you ever given thought of running a Mixed Team league? I'd be in.

Speaking of elves....in the first edition AD&D, Gygax specifically exempted elves from the Raise Dead and Resurrection spells in the Player's Handbook. This is because elves have no soul and therefore are not technically "people". Orcs, golblins, gnolls, kobalds and even halflings are people. Elves are not people. In case you were curious.

Four Weddings and a Funeral is kind of like five things of the same thing. And as an off shoot, when is the last time you seen a veteran whine about anything he volunteered for? I work with the dude every day. One of my annual work goals is backing up his vacation. He got into Blood Bowl because of me. Our kids have played together. Bring it on! EDIT: I *demand* my team escalation so that I may play Elmdor. Polity and respectively to Ordo management, of course.

Finally some good level ups. Runner +1 STR and a doubles for a blodging Lineman. The other Runner picked up Blodge on a standard level-up. Cool.

Off topic...No dwarves. All human. They are not allowed to play demi-humans until they've read The Hobbit, LotR and the Silmarillion.

Fair enough. I'd rather have more people involved than a longer season. My kids were bugging me about when the next season starts. I'm trying to hook them while they're young. Off topic aside, my 8, 6 and 4 year olds rolled up their first 3.5 Ed characters last weekend. I'm so proud of them. Ranger (archer), fighter and rogue. I told the six year old his character could use two weapons when he could read and explain the rules for them....he went with the d12 axe, instead. I almost cried.

Cool. We can always do a 17 team round robin. It'll be a slog, but more Blood Bowl is a good thing. With round robin, we might not even need playoffs.

I just want to get started. Let's play, already. I trust you regarding the details.

Dwarves suck.

I'm in, but likely with a new Norse team rather than lizards. Also, FYI, CountElmdor is 99% in as the same chaos, but he's on vacation right now. Please save him a slot. -Boring Norm

I qualified and downloaded it last night. Would not have happened without @CountElmdor letting me know. He's a gentleman and a scholar and there's not many of us left. My first impressions of the beta: 1 - I may have an older laptop, but even on the low settings the thing is laggy. It feels like I am running through sand wearing ill fitting flip flops and bell bottoms while hauling an uneven backpack flopping around and I forgot my sun hat. This will probably get better, but at this point, it discourages me from playing more. 2 - I *hate* having to click "ok" to confirm every move. I know there may have been issues with misclicks in previous games, but this reminds me of the "are you sure?" every time crap you had with Vista. Annoying. 3 - The forced diagonal view is frustrating to my tiny lizard brain, and I am generally good at spacial recognition. I really like to view the field plumb, from my perspective and allow zoom and top down. Yes, this will probably be fixed, but for now, it's annoying and makes the game more like a job than fun. I have no comments on the new rules or gameplay as it is too early and I started playing late last night. I will advise.
