If my copy of the new Marine codex shows up on time I will bring up 2000pts of that.

The Chapter Master will be selecting a unit for rerolls in the Command phase.  So, Reinforcements/deepstrike/in transport can not be selected the turn they deploy.  That will help.

I think putting multiple Judiciars in an army feels too much like cheating.  3 of them in an army can completely lock an opponent out of the fight phase.

It would be neat if GW would make a rule for dreadnought type vehicles and greater demons that armies focused solely on them.  Make them count as a number of objective secured models equal to half their current wound total rounded up.  All chonker armies would be adorable.

I think Marines were too mobile compared to the armies that are supposed to be nimble.  I doubt they will remove fly from elves.

Space Marine Codex leaks show lots of nerfs.

Chapter Master upgrade costs 40pts and rerolls only affect 1 unit per round.  Can't remember if it is limited to "core or character"

To get some of the bonuses from chapter leader upgrades you will have to also give the units a special warlord trait.  Costs pts to upgrade.  Because the best abilities are from traits you can't take 1 of everything and get full benefits from all of them.  Although, the traits are better than before.

Centurions and Dreadnoughts no longer always rapid firing bolt weapons.

Who knows what else took hits.

EDIT: power level changes suggest some point increases.

I wonder what a "looted Necron" themed Ork army would look like.

Thank you for the game Inquisitor66!  It was interesting to face stuff new stuff.

Decided not to bring Eradicators.  Will take a couple more squads of troops instead.

It would be interesting if feel no pain was changed in the same way.  The unit takes the damage, and if it survives the attacks, models can then roll to see if they remain and/or if they regain wounds.

Should lump "living metal" and "reanimation protocols" into reconstruction protocols.  Each model could reanimate to 1 wound if the unit is not completely destroyed and/or heal 1 wound.  Units with lots of wounds could have a modifier of healing d3 instead of 1.

I wonder what will happen to all of the abilities that currently allow a unit to roll for reanimation multiple times in the same phase.

New reanimation protocols.  Making it harder to kill troops and harder to reanimate big bois.

I will be there for 40k.  Anything from 500-2000pts.  Using close combat focused Space Marines.

The real question about new terrain rules is:  Do they provide guidelines for how to alter the "pewpew" and "dakkadakka" sounds I make when rolling to shoot inside their boundaries?  It would be embarrassing to mimic the wrong kind of echo for missile launchers in a canyon.

if the terrain sets are popular you can expect a Codex: Terrain every year.  Primaris terrain will replace it a year later.

The problem with buying Battlescribe may be that there is no clear ownership of the software.  A lot of the reason stuff doesn't sell is because the rights are split up.  Figuring out how to divide the paycheck takes forever, if it ever concludes.
