  1. So when you say we all get another 250 points. Does that only mean that you can use 750 of 1000 points of your stuff, or does that mean we can add 250 points of stuff to the list and then pick 750 of your 1250 point pool?
  2. I'll be around for games at 5. Making an effort to speedrun 2 750s sounds fun.
  3. I'm down for a rematch and to gush over terrain. Maybe even finish a game!
  4. I'll be there with the admech purple cyborg sisters. My body is ready for fluff.
  5. The kastelans remains were piled in a heap of mangled metal. Chi-Eta-10's somber gaze slid over her fallen flock as she laid a careful hand upon a darkened face-plate. -- The noise marines charged in a cacophony of bolter fire and revving chainswords. Chi-Eta-10's machines were caught out of position by the drop pod. This was not according to plan. She swiftly calculated a new vector and activated the Solar Flare to bring her children to safety and regroup. She hummed a half-remembered litany of praise while skillfully joining ruptured seams. Her heart hurt to see these great creations destroyed to such a degree. She would repair her flock to their rightful glory. -- The enemy’s drop pod scorched the ground as it charged towards the kastelans, but preparations had been made this time. It was intercepted with a flurry of blows as her cyons tore into it during the one-sided foray. New metal was patched to the bodies, old connections rejoined, as Chi-Eta-10 rebuilt them to stand again. The piles of parts were re-formed, the ruptured seams cauterized. -- Chi-Eta-10 charged with her children to the sorceror, stunning him with stored power. But foulness in the warp had other designs. She looked on with growing concern as her offspring struggled to fight, unable to gain an advantage. Her powered blows against the psyker's side were inadequate stop him from rending her child in twain. The progeny’s systems overloaded, taking the psyker with it in an explosion of viscera, alloy, and red mist. Though the spectacle satisfyingly violent, it wasn’t the drawn out pummeling of blood and guts the enemy deserved. Chi methodically polished the paint and plating; the kastelans gleaming new. Her mastery of their machinations had restored them fully unscarred. Magos Vyrsa entered the repair bay, appraising her work. "You've done well, datasmith. I will grace you with a title for your deeds. You may be called ... Tenacity". -- Chi-Eta-10 slumped against a rock, the battle nearly over. Her children had been slain, Magos Vyrsa had gone silent, and the last remaining skitarii no longer reported. She stumbled to her feet, pistol in hand, as she raised a banner. The forces of chaos would pay. Her weapon glowed as the charge tore through a noise marine. She swayed from the discharge, but righted herself with the planted banner. She would not give up. Readouts flickered sporadically across her vision, threatening to darken. Another marine fell as Chi-Eta-10's aim stayed true. She would hold this objective until the last. The end was nigh. Suddenly, the marines fell back as support arrived in overwhelming force. Chi-Eta-10 wheezed a shaky mechanized sigh of relief. She had completed the magos final order: no retreat, no surrender. The last remaining survivor held the line. For she was Tenacity incarnate.
  6. I'll be here and 5ish is my level of commitment to a time as well. Care for some games until some time at night?
  7. Also I agree with points feeling better to build with. When I was trying to build 1k, I ended up at 930 or something stupid because PL was so limited. That and adding a couple more models to a unit but not hitting the bracket feels awful. Also just a rules check: buying warlord traits and relics: spend the RP AND the CP or just the RP and you can keep the CP?
  8. Floof: 19 years ago... Magos Vyrsa of the Hollow Forge bolted down the hallway, clutching her prize closely to her chest. Foolishness, she thought, with great disdain. The universe held so many secrets and so much potential, yet Forge World Lucius squandered much of it with blind devotion to the orthodox teachings of Mars. Such foolishness that relics like the Solar Flare she held were used so... unimaginatively. Tech Priests were known for their capacity for ancient knowledge and their devotion to the Omnissiah, but were rarely blessed with the drive and impulse that Vyrsa posessed. She swore she would demonstrate what arhcheotech could really do before casting one last glance behind her and climbing into the waiting shuttle. --- 6 years ago... Magos Vyrsa worked diligently on her patient. It had been... fortuitous in its way. Luck was something she had been willing to dismiss as the combination of all events in a blessed calculus, but she was almost willing to entertain the idea of something exerting its will. She had happened across a defense cohort, still guarding a Stygian outpost. The surrounding fields were littered with the remnants of a recent battle with an Adepta Sororitas patrol sent to destroy the heretical research being conducted there. The dead were of little use to her, but the wounded. Oh the wounded were such a blessing, she thought as she grafted the wargear onto her last of her fresh Sororita Mechanicus Skitarii force. --- 1 year ago... Magos Vyrsa idly tapped a stylus against where her mouth had once been. The stylus itself was equally irrelevant as she could interface directly with the dataslate before her but the motion was a long honored motion humans had been doing for millennia. She hoped it would help her with the puzzle that lay before her. The Xenarites of Stygies VIII had taken an interest in noctilith. The substance was yet another squandered opportunity the Imperium had largely declared as alien and heretical that her people at Stygies VIII had found much more worthy of research. The only question was: where could she find any? --- Taros Prime loomed in the viewport. According to her research, noctilith could be found in these asteroids, perhaps even xenos archeotech. Luck had followed Magos Vyrsa again, as the Dark Angels cruiser orbiting with the asteroids had gone silent. Without having to negotiate with Imperial forces or masquerade as a Lucius detachment again, scavenging Taros 781 shouldn't prove difficult. Still, something must have happened to the cruiser. She was glad of her Sororita Mechanicus, but couldn't help tapping her stylus in calculating anticipation.
  9. I'm back around and totally down for some crusade! Very excited it's finally happening, @Salty Monkey.
  10. I'll be around to talk shop. Not bringing an army this time though, so any interested parties will have to wait.
  11. Nothing beyond showing up! But I'd encourage hanging out and making friends.
  12. I'll be around to creep on other people chatting or 1.5k 40k.
  13. I'll be there as well to complain incessantly while slowly melting into a puddle on the floor with 1.5k of admech for 40k.
  14. I am Alpharmacist. And I'll be there too. Finally more or less at 1500.
  15. Toasters at best, but on second thought I think I'm still coughing too much. Best of luck until next week 😕
  16. I think I'm feeling well enough to be there this week. ~1k of admech, as per usual.
  17. Fair enough. As far as armies: dealer's choice. I'm just here to run sets and have a good time :3
  18. I'm interested in doing some 1k 40k. I just made some armigers I want to play around with, but the 19th is fathers day and I can see why it might be sparse out there.
  19. I've seen so much eldar going around I want to see what the deal is, so that's my vote. Teams sounds neat though.
