SigurdBC
Ah yeah I remember Miniwargaming did something like this within the last two years. Assuming it's the same thing, you choose territories on the board there and place flags kind of like Risk. Then you do 40k battles with the other factions that you want to fight with over one specific territory or hex. There are other bonuses for manufactorums, comm relays, and other key locations you control on the map that can affect set-up rolls and even giving you extra points worth of troops. It was a really fun campaign to watch Miniwargaming conduct, but it kind of stagnated and it was at the height of the Necron OPness, so Necrons just swept the whole thing in the end, even though Tyranids did very, very well. Gailbraithe
Yes, it's a Planetary Empires board. This board is set up for 3 or 4 players. The goal is to be the first player to control 10 hexes, and thus RULE THE WORLD!!! One of my New Year's resolutions was to run a 40K campaign this year. This is step 3 -- step 1 was buying the Planetary Onslaught book, step 2 was assembling a bunch more buildings for Cities of Death missions.

Gailbraithe
I play everything! Currently I can field 1850 with Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Orks, Chaos Space Marines or Tyranids. I'm almost there with Harlequins too.
Gailbraithe
The board itself is now finished. Just have to pick up a nice sheet of foamcore to mount it on and get the flags painted.
