Dark Trainer
So I was waffling with my list just looking for something fun and things that I don't normally bring. So I tried this. I think this falls into the realm of a decent OFCC list. Added the sentry pylon because 3 annihilation barges seemed spammy, even though not overly killy. Battalion Detachment +5CP (Necrons) [123 PL, 8CP, 1,992pts] Dynasty: Sautekh HQ [13 PL, 244pts] Destroyer Lord [7 PL, 129pts] Selections: Artefact: The Nanoscarab Casket, Phylactery, Warscythe Orikan the Diviner [6 PL, 115pts] Warlord Selections: Warlord Trait (Sautekh): Hyperlogical Strategist Troops [28 PL, 465pts] Immortals [8 PL, 150pts] Selections: Gauss Blaster, 10x Immortal Immortals [8 PL, 150pts] Selections: 10x Immortal, Tesla Carbine Necron Warriors [12 PL, 165pts] Selections: 15x Necron Warrior Fast Attack [36 PL, 588pts] 6 Canoptek Wraiths [18 PL, 288pts] 6 Destroyers [18 PL, 300pts] Selections: 6x Gauss Cannon Heavy Support [24 PL, 395pts] Annihilation Barge [8 PL, 120pts] Selections: Gauss Cannon Annihilation Barge [8 PL, 120pts] Selections: Gauss Cannon Sentry Pylon [8 PL, 155pts] Selections: Teleportation Matrix, Heat Cannon Flyer [22 PL, 300pts] Doom Scythe [11 PL, 150pts] Doom Scythe [11 PL, 150pts]
Munkie
That all looks fine to me. I don't really know what Orikan does but whatevs. The only that stands out is the large disparity between points and power level! Wowwy! Usually 20:1 is about right, most 2k lists finishing <110 PL. Orikan empowers into s7 t7 if he rolls lower than the turn, it's gimmicky and fun and the warlord trait i took is not the best, as he's forced to take it. Not sure about the PL difference never looked. That said crons did get points reduced in Chapter approved (because a lot of overpriced units). Doom scythes went from 250 to 205 to 150, just not that killy (d3 shots being unreliable). But PL is still showing 11 each, but it's really not. Looks like they changed point values but not PL's. Also main reason for this list, transports really easily in one case. 😁

VonVilkee
Power level is just the grab and play. It only really works if both players are compromising and not optimizing any way. If you are at a point where you care if the power level is right you should be playing points any way...
Munkie
For sure. Didn't mean to derail the thread. The ratio was just striking to me.
