Tao Tsê-Mung Posted March 4, 2022 Report Posted March 4, 2022 THE PLACE Location: 717 SE Main St. Portland OR 97214 (map) - Around the corner from Kokiyo Teriyaki and up the stairs. Cost to play games is $5 for Ordo Members, $2 for Ordo Warlord Champions, FREE for Emperors! As always, your first Game Night is FREE! THE GAMES If you're looking to game we will be here. Opting to lay low? Stay home and stay safe, we'll catch you next time. THE MISSION Games we play: All, with a focus on Oathmark, Warhammer 40k & AoS, Blood Bowl Sevens - Border Princes Bash league, Necromunda, War Cry, board games and more. While it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to pre-arrange a game before coming down. New players are always welcome, feel free to stop by and check it out. BUT WHAT ABOUT COVID-19? Masks are now required for everyone regardless of vaccination status. Players are encouraged to spread out their games and avoid congestion. Do not attend game night if you experience any of the symptoms found here. GAME NIGHT EXPECTATIONS If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s taught us we don’t need more stress in our lives. As a result, Ordo is expecting an even greater level of friendliness and fellowship at Game Night than our normal high expectations. Please be aware that as always, the Czar has the ability to ask a player to leave if the Czar feels it necessary. Games are meant to be fun, so let’s have fun. 1 Quote

Colten Posted March 6, 2022 Report Posted March 6, 2022 I want to ask, how does everyone feel about adding my Hobby Support event being this Thursday? I would like to do it 4-7ish. Nothing needed; maybe some primer would be excellent; I can provide paint but not a lot. I really have no idea what attendance would be or what to expect. I want to do it this Thursday and Next, and every 2 weeks before each of my future events. This will be the first of 2 nights of painting tutorials and support for hobby-level preparation for the Bridge City Crusade event at W.O.W, upcoming Ordo events, and other gaming events around the city. Most miniatures competitions, including our own, have a standard for the models being painted to 3 color minimum. This tends to be one of the most significant barriers to entry for most Wargame enthusiasts. We can help. Knowledgeable and experience Wargamers are here to assist you on the big projects you have waiting. This is not a formal lesson, clinic, or demonstration. Instead, this is a learning environment. Here, you can work while being guided by folks who have been through every plastic, resin, and metal problem that can be met. We can teach you practical techniques to finish your hobby project to a standard you will enjoy in a time frame that fits your lifestyle. What if I am not working on anything significant? Those who love to paint are more community-oriented can attend and hobby alongside us. Experienced hobbyists looking for tips on improving their painting can learn new techniques. Miniature painting doesn’t have to be a solitary act will love it if you want to show off that excellent miniature you got just right. 3 Quote

WarwickRockbourne Posted March 9, 2022 Report Posted March 9, 2022 I'll be arriving with an interest in the accompanying paint session and available for a 40k grand tournament game. Practice makes perfect! 2 Quote

Got work meeting, so I'll be there around 6pm. Would like to do some painting too. 2 Quote

Gloomfoe Posted March 10, 2022 Report Posted March 10, 2022 I have 2000pts of Orks that are looking for a good brawl 3 Quote
WarwickRockbourne Posted March 10, 2022 Report Posted March 10, 2022 I won't be able to get out of the office until after 4pm. Traveling the Robertson Tunnel during commute hours is about exciting as painting the joints of terminators. Not exciting at all. I'm bumping my attendance to Sunday, to allow a more realistic time for this noob (that's me!) to finish a game. 1 Quote
