Eldar Wraith List - OFCC - review

Ok - I sat down last night and reviewed all my painted minis… along with the few things I think I can get done for OFCC.  Here is my list… slight adjustments and critique welcome.  Hoping to get a few dozen games in to fine tune my plans.  I am wondering about using a wall… not sure where to get the points yet - but I did pick up a defensive wall (Eldar version of a Aegis Defence Line) from Cmon last year that is unpainted.  

Using BattleScribe … not sure how accurate it is yet.  I will double check all the points this weekend - but it comes in at 2,000 exactly.

I have no idea as to what the rating may be as of yet.

Eldar: Supplement - Iyanden

 

+ HQ +

 

    * Spiritseer

            The Wraithforge Stone, Witchstaff

(gets me the Iyanden powers… to allow the wraiths to run-shoot/shoot run…etc.)

 

    * Wraithseer (IA:A 6E)

        (Ancient Doom, Fearless, HQ Requirement, Monstrous Creature, Psyker (Mastery Level 1), Spirit Mark)

        D-Cannon, Ghostspear, Wraithshield (*)

(big target… walks with larger WG unit… )

 

+ Troops + 

 

    * Wraithguard (Troops) 

        (Ancient Doom, Bulky, Fearless)

        * Wave Serpent

            Serpent Field, Shuriken cannon, Twin-linked shuriken cannons

(flanks… or edge clean-up… tank hunting or big target hunting - speed and hopefully overwhelming force when on target - also to be a yin to the wraith knights yang)

        (Agile, Deep Strike, Shrouded, Supersonic, Vector Dancer)

        2 Bright Lances, 2 Shuriken Cannons

(To handle any other flyers… at least keep them a bit honest.  If there are no flyer targets - this will go tank hunting)

 

+ Heavy Support + 

 

    * Wraithknight 

        (Ancient Doom, Fearless)

        Scatter laser, Two Heavy Wraithcannons

(I had the sun cannon on him… but wanted a bit more points and used it elsewhere - the 2 wraith cannons seem solid enough)

 

 

    * Wraithlord 

        (Ancient Doom, Fearless)

        Ghostglaive , Starcannon , Two flamers

(fluffy… running around with his glaive smacking things - and lending support if a unit gets locked down in HTH.  I don't expect much… maybe he will stick with the Wraithseer as a bodyguard lol)

I like it. Great mix of units for the theme. It will look great all together.

 

You do have some tough units but this is low on infantry numbers so its not too bad as long as they dont all have invulns.

 

The high toughness can be a concern but most lists are shifting to include a good amount of high str low ap weapons cuz that pen result on a vehicle is impossible without them.

 

I would say high 2 or low 3. Great OFCC list.

Agreed. Serpent shield is still very good even with the change to jink. And ObjSec doesnt make me like the serpents any better thats for sure!

 

But only two serpents is okay. Backed up by three hornets and a wraithknight is def getting tougher. One flyer and a fragile hq (is he even fearless?) Adds some good tools.

 

I guess it is more of a three. But thats okay too. Balance it with yer teammates. See what the LRC says about it.
