Guest
Local guy regularly fiends a void shield generator. Which SM weapons are both most reliable and point effiecent to take down the void shields? I'm just thinking that if I waste valuable AT on the voids, I won't have it else where, so knowing what is the best way to take them down and I can that that element to my army. Oh, not talking about chapter tactics, but about actual units/weapons.
VonVilkee
I really like having a twin Autocannon dread running around he usually takes point on dropping the void shield if I have other units in place to capitalize. Otherwise I just ignore it and focus on other objectives... If there are no flyers I'll throw any sky fire stuff I have at it cuz well why not? fluger
Seems like TL autocannon would be one of the better options, I'd also say that assault cannons should be fairly handy.
VonVilkee
Missile Launchers if already in the force would work here but I wouldn't take missiles most of the time. Two twin linked Autocannon have a reason to be there all the time.
WestRider
AutoLas Preds are solid, too. Actually slightly more damage output than a Rifleman Dread, as well as a bit cheaper and more durable, but less mobile.
VonVilkee
I just like dreads :)
WestRider
Nothing wrong with Dreads. It's just that I only have one of them that isn't a Helbrute, while I've got half a dozen Predators :)

WestRider
That would be part of "less mobile", yes ;)
Guest
If you really need mobility, pred can move 18" per turn. Can't shoot like this, but it is an option.
VonVilkee
Yeah with the loss of agile for walkers they don't get to pivot in the shooting phase any more so I'm kinda sad I don't have more predators. I have like 8 dreads plus some hell brutes so I have the opposite problem.
