Ogres Rise from The Moot

Recommended Posts

I'm working on possible sabretusk paint schemes.  I don't want to do the standard lion which is most commonly seen.  I am going to be painting one as a panther.  As for the second...I'm still debating.  We'll see though.  I just want something different.

I suggest:

Bring the beast!  It's going on the table.

As a sidenote:

I just returned from some purchasing of technical paints.  These Ogres have no idea of what's about to happen to them.  I'm going to town on them with rust effects to the maximum.  The first three are safe, due to them being new recruits to The Bone Crusherz Tribe.

I purchased the following technicals:

Typhus Corrosion

Ryza Rust

Nihilakh Oxide

Agrellan Earth

I really like GW's technical paint line and think those are the best ones they have to offer.  They do some great things to miniatures through the use of some simple techniques and I'm sure it will take me a few tries to get it down but on the flip side I'm painting Ogres so it doesn't matter as long as they look used and abused.

Here's a short update on my Ogres.  This is my first "Bull-dart".  These are the new recruits to The Bone Crusherz Tribe.  The next batch of Ogres are going to look worn as all hell.  By that I mean LOTS of rust and corrosion.  The pictures are a bit bleary and I have to add a layer of Ushabti Bone to the teeth.

While watching all of tonight's GREAT football games, I'm working on 3 leadbeltchers and Bulls.  Hopefully, I'll have some pictures of leadbeltchers shortly.
