Guest
Anyone know a discount place to get kits at other then amazon or ebay? The 40k league at GG (wednesdays) get's a 20% discount at GG on the day of participation ($10 per month). The 20% is on GW products (excluding direct order only items), not just 40k. 20% without having to pay shipping really is a good deal. One of many reasons we need to get an AoS league going at GG. Guest
How was/is everyone's weekend? Sorry for bailing on the GG meet up. My weekend was...low energy. Didn't feel like moving much, wanted to engage in activities that supported not moving... Did some reading, some painting, and played video games. A good amount of sleeping there too. Threejacks
Yeah, hes pretty kickass but at around 200 bucks he should be! Forgeworld makes some cool stuff but I can rarely justify the money to buy from them.
Malakithe
Yeah I know. It's a shame. Before I sold them I had a lot of converted 40k dark angels with horus heresy stuff. Look really good. They need to update the AoS rules for that crazy giant rat guy.
Threejacks
Also,he stands about as Tall as Skarbrand! so 7" about.

Malakithe
How does one strip paint safely from plastic minis?
Threejacks
How does one strip paint safely from plastic minis? Depends on what kind of paint it was done in..if its just regular acrylic paint like the GW stuff, then I use a soak in Break fluid over night, then brush it with an old toothbrush to get to the stuff in the details. For enamels, you may need to try small amounts of actual paint remover, being careful not to melt the plastic letting it sit on the model too long. Steel Angel
simple green or assume orange works well on alot of stuff but like anything else there are stuff it dosnt.
Malakithe
It would just be normal GW paints. Break fluid? What brand?
Threejacks
It would just be normal GW paints. Break fluid? What brand? Doesnt matter, any standard off the shelf Break Fluid would work, though ive also has success with the Simple Green cleaner that Steel mentioned:)
Malakithe
I've heard mixed stuff about simple green. What about isopropyl alcohol? I heard that can work
KlawKnee
Mugu up here in Everett has 25% off but i have to hear how much of a failed game sigmar is each time.. Jk i like talking to the owner. Stormfiends are warming upto me a little, might just buy extras to get the weapons i want :/ ordered a Arch and some green edge paint. Malakithe
So dunked the model in ipa. Almost stared working but I think I need to let it soak longer. Now the problem is removing the paint...a q-tip doesn't work too well
Norrad
Old toothbrushes work great! Especially the ones with the rubber dental pic on the end. Use the pointy rubber end to get in the crevices.
Malakithe
Ooh ok. I'll search for one. I should probably soak the model more too
