Well, from nostalgia point of view, i read my little black books many many times.  How I wish I still had my old boxed set, but it was pretty torn up.  I just saw a set go on auction sell for $150 for the original set.  Mind you, that was just books 0 - 3.

Welcome to Portland, you are in a great city for gaming, and you will find lots of really great and fun opponents for 40K.

It was mentioned earlier, but the Tuesday night Game Night at the Clubhouse is also super convenient to you, it is very close to Guardian Games.

Generally if you arrange ahead, it is easy to get a game of 40K in there.
