    Are you and I on the same schedule for TV watching? Seems like it lately...I just finished season 1 as well.  Also very much enjoyed it...and I felt the acting and setting were excellent....I want to live in Broadchurch now (minus the murder).

    Finally, as a serious Bucky fan, I was totally squeeing during the post credits scene.

     

    In regards to your post credits scene comment...

    Several people in the audience squeeled when he showed up too, to which a few of my friends I was with laughed at (as they are African American), "Look the white people are excited to see another white main character!" :) :) :)

    It was pretty hilarious, cuz I think it was very true.

     

    Also, in other Credits Scene hopes...Shuri (sp?) sure looks good to be setup to replace Iron Man!  Make it so!

    Also saw Black Panther last night, really enjoyed it.  It is the Marvel MCU Formula, but they did expand it a bit with the above....the villain actually has solid motivation, and you commiserate with him.

    Really enjoyed it, Wakanda looked awesome, the costumes were great, the tech amazing...they nailed it.

    Will definitely see again!

    Dark (Netflix Series) 8/10

    Engaging story that kept me wanting to watch another episode.  It is not fast paced at all, but the story is very interesting.  Would definitely watch it again.

    Also, must watch with subtitles  (unless you are fluent in German), I tried a bit with the english dubbing, and it was really awful.

    Bright - 3/10

    Just meh...just a 2 hour mess of meh.  Characters were not interesting.  The story was not very interesting.  You could tell a lot of things hit the cutting room floor.

    Honestly, it really felt like they thought there were shooting a TV show, but then decided, "Let's just shove this all together to a 2 hour run, and call it a movie".

    • Blade Runner 2049
    • Moon
    • Ex Machine
    • Mad Max: Fury Road
    • Edge of Tomorrow (I actually am surprised i'm adding this one, but I really enjoyed it)
    • Oblivion (another surprise, but it did so many sci fi tropes I loved it)
    • Looper
    • Chronicle
    • Dredd
    • Attack the Block
    • District 9

    I'm still probably missing a few...but scanning through movies of the last 10 years....I think the above would all be on my list.  Arrival is very much  up there for me...

    Yeah....when I walked out of the theater, I put it right at 5/10.  Sadly, the more I think/discuss this movie, the lower my ranking goes...

    My Thoughts about The Last Jedi...

    The Good

    • Luke and Leia, Yoda, the Force, Rey and Kylo.
    • Seeing Luke's X-Wing under the waves
    • Trying to move the story from being Skywalker centric
    • Resistance learns their lesson they can't rely on last ditch efforts to win the day...at least I hope they do.

    The Bad

    • Bombers...literal gravity driven bombers in space???  
    • if Launching a ship into Light Speed towards an armada (just one cruiser) can destroy so many ships, and seriously cripple such a capital ship as Snoke's, why isn't that just weaponized all the time in the Star Wars universe?  Why didn't they do that with the first ship that ran out of fuel?
    • I forgave the Force Awakens being a re-do of A New Hope.  I do not forgive The Last Jedi being a reskin mashup of Empire and Return
    • Battering Ram Cannon???
    • What was the plan for those land speeders that sprayed red so you always knew where they were?
    • The Resistance is led by a bunch of morons, they would have been wiped out years ago against such a military machine as the First Order...
    • ...which leads me to ...who the hell is funding the First Order?  If they have the resources to build star killers, dreadnoughts, capital ships...and lose them, and not seem to care...they have already won everything.
    • Snoke...why does he even exist?  Seriously, someone in hollywood is just sitting around going...we need to create a role for Andy Serkis to be featured in our film.
    • The timing of everything...Finn and Rose going to some planet and getting back in time.  Captured.  All that in time to still attempt their plan?  18 hours of fuel?

    I am depressed that Rian Johnson has been given the next trilogy, to be honest, at seeing Last Jedi, I am not excited at all about it.. :(

    Stranger Things Season 2

    Pretty much perfect...9/10

    So much good about this...but my favorite is the irony of Paul Reiser's casting.  So perfectly done, down to the scenes that were practically perfectly copying Aliens.  So much actually now that I have finished Season 2, I feel Season 1 was Alien, and Season 2 was Aliens.

    Perfect show...can't wait til Season 3!

     

    Punisher

    Also, 9/10

    Netflix has another slam dunk...they did a great job not just making a shoot em up Punisher, but a story with some grit and great writing.  Best Marvel series on Netflix to date.

    Also a consideration...to date, I don't believe WOTC is providing any PDF's of rulebooks, where as Paizo does.
