  1. WestWorld Season 2

1 of 5?  1 of 10?  Idunno...I did not enjoy it.  In the end it all felt very empty and a waste of time.  It throws complications in for the sake of complications, and weird story tricks that sure, make sense...but just never congeal.  Save yourself the 10+ hours.

Solo - Really fun.   Not amazing or groundbreaking, but as fun as any unnecessary prequel could be.  By the end you buy in to the new guy being Han and Donald Glover absolutely nails Lando.

OK, so went to see Solo last night.  To be honest, from the announcement of this movie being made I was negative on it.  I thought this was just a dumb idea for a movie.  I want new stories, not the old characters...

That being said...Solo was a damned fine Star Wars movie.  So much better than the Last Jedi...leaps and bounds.  It is a great adventure story set in the Star Wars universe.  Loved it.

    7.5 / 10 if not a tad higher...

  3. To be fair, I know exactly what SSRS means, though my personal experience with it is very limited.  But if someone knew SSRS on here, they would have known what Bro G was looking for.  If you don't know what SSRS is, you were not the target audience, and its just time to move along 🙂

Why is it a good system?

Like all things gaming related, and RPG related, what defines a good system to one nerd defines crap to another 🙂

I played savage worlds for a bit.  Ran a small Gamma World adventure, and played in some weird war games. Also a Fantasy game.  The mechanics are pretty easy.  Game play is fast.  Though I will say in the end it felt a bit "empty" to me.  Also, the exploding die mechanic as RAW can get pretty out of hand.  This was all a while back, so not sure if they have revamped the rules at all since then.

  5. I never played and or ran it, but I always thought GURPS Space would be a great rules set.  Easy to pick up a few source books, mix and match some flavor books, and you could have some pretty awesome games I imagine.  Plus I've always had a soft spot for Steve Jackson games 🙂

  7. Well, if those are the one's you like...then you definitely like the crunch factor 🙂

We never actually played Space Master, though at one point I owned most of the books.

Personally, my favorite is the Star Wars FFG RPG.

I'm assuming by your list you are looking for more big Space Faring sci fi setting.  As a lot of people will tell you, Gamma World is where its at 🙂

Hmm...if you don't mind a lil fantasy in your sci fi, the new Starfinder RPG from Paizo looks pretty cool.
