Impressive!

Good question! Trying to come up with a plan.

Had I seen these first, I might've gone with these instead of can towers and gone for a Hab Block vibe.

I'm doing every Friday night until our local shop finds a new home (Their building had burst pipes and flooded). Other than that, I'm going to do a once a month , Saturday 40k games day at the house.
As to 8th edition, it is, in my not so humble opinion, the best edition of 40k ever. Its smoother, more player friendly in terms of roster creation, the divide between competitive and non competitive is much smaller IMO (at least from list building). I've found it to be great!

Hey Kevin! I'm getting a group of dads playing down here in Puyallup on the reg! Not sure if that's too far for you.
Also, I was remodeling and found your sheet of grass tufts you left hers at my first WarPorch.

I spent last night 'magnetizing' some of my Cawdor minis, using a pin vice to drill spotface holes. I'm using 1.5 mm magnets and they are a tad too big for the Cawdor's spindly arms and wrists. Where the arms meet the body is easy, because it's concealed by the shoulder drapes, it's the wrists that are causing me the most grief.
Orlocks have thicker limbs, so the 2mm magnets may work, but if you plan to magnetize your Cawdor, you may need to buy smaller magnets.
[big bad swear word]
Well, good to know anyway, but that's frustrating since I already bought em.

Sounds fun, do you guys have a list of house rules somewhere? I'm snagging the "knock out" one for sure!

I look forward to seeing what you do with all of this.
Me too! I have a lot of grand plans which I usually fizzle out on, but Ezra is enthusiastic and PourSpelur will help paint.

Fyi for truly dense terrain don't scoff at the 2d.
I don't, looking into building my own bulk heads with acrylic sheets to make Zone Mortalis style boards.

So, I used a good chunk of my tax return to dive deep into Necromunda.
For me, Necromunda lives or dies on the terrain and so I plotted my plan for a long time.
Step 1: The perfect Mat:
Perfect Rusty Metal look from urbanmatz
Next: Good, 3 Dimensional Terrain.
MDF is just the bee's knees.
Got two of these:
As well as 2 spiral staircases and extra walkways to connect them.
Then I got some scatter terrain and some generators
Then I also got a bunch of PVC pipes and fittings to make pipe lines that work as barricades and 3 big tube thingies that I'm going to use batting and little LED candles to make look like steam/smoke vents. Photos to come.
Then I bought 2 of the gang boxes and 1 of the FW extra weapon sprues for my House Orlock gang and my son's Cawdor Gang.
Finally, I bought a bunch of 2mm magnets and a dremel bit so I can magnetize all the arms on these guys so I'm not stuck.
Its a LITTLE crazy, but I'm hoping this will be a gateway drug for my kids.

Orlock. I like the aesthetic of their weapons so much. I used to play Delaque and their game style fits me to a T, but the new models just didn't grab me, the poses were too awkward (no one is aiming a gun and no one is holding a rifle...). I could see playing Goliath or Van Saar or Venators in the future.

Looking great! I've taken the Necromunda plunge as well with my son. He chose Cawdor as well.
For terrain I got Promethium Forge's Can Tower Terrain.

That and boxsets based on length of subscription. I had WD from 98 to 03 mostly due to those deals.

Oh and side note: the event we are doing on 3/16 does not require paint other than primer. So if you cant get it all painted in time, it would be a good event for you to go to instead.
At Game Matrix?
Did you miss me?

We vary. 500 for quick games or 2k is most standard.
