  1. Looks like most people are taking a break after playing in Rosehammer, Rip City Riot, and March to War during the last few weekends. I'll be at WOW for a couple hours in the morning, just in case anyone stops by.
  2. Ordo Fanaticus, the Pacific Northwest's premier gaming club, in association with the Portland/Vancouver 9th Age community is pleased to bring you the Columbia Clash, a two day T9A tournament during 2023 OFCC weekend (August 5th and 6th). Here are the event details (this post will be amended as more information becomes available). Event Organizer: TheBeninator (Ben Beal) Number of Players (min/max): 12-30 Event Style: Singles - Swiss pairings # of Rounds: 5 (3 Sat/ 2 Sun) Duration of Rounds: 3 hours Ticket Price: $50 ($5 discount for OF Reavers, Warlords, Emperors, and Imperators) Missions and Scenarios: Scenarios will be familiar to all players of T9A, but there will be small twists. Players will be challenged to think differently about how they play scenarios with new special rules at play. Accordingly, at least 2 scenarios will be focused on alterations to the deployment phase (blind deployment shall return!). At least 2 scenarios will have their secondary objectives altered in a way where either the objectives move, or the conditions to capture them are changed. The last game will just be a good old standard fight. Point Value: 4500 (standard size) Scoring: 4 different awards - Best Sport (based on rankings and integrity points - see below) Favorite Army (based on painting, theme, conversions, fluff) Best General (based completely on match results) Best Team (Averaged scores by team for the 3 above plus extra points for team showmanship - see below) Achievements and Awards: Tertiary objectives will be making a return, but with slightly different mechanics. Integrity points- Every player will have the opportunity to award an opponent for an in-game action that is viewed as being highly respectable. Perhaps reminding a player of an essential rule, allowing a player to “take back” a move, etc. The idea is that if a player does something that makes the game more enjoyable for you, then you have a chance to give them a special shout out for that. You get 2 integrity tokens to give out which are worth less than your favorite opponent but go towards best sportsmanship. This helps to build a better ranking spread. Extra event style: Optional two person teams – Two players can form a "team" in order to be contenders for the “Best team” award. The idea here is to encourage players to engage in a bit of extra style and panache during the event. This will hopefully bring some of the flavor of “club” showmanship back to OFCC, continuing the tradition of previous events. Team Bonus: Bring a banner with your team’s colors/logo/whatever – 5pt Bring a war cry that can be heard when shout, minimum of 3 shouts! – 5pt Bring a sonnet (14 lines with a rhyming scheme) explaining the basis of your faction’s alliance – 5pt Purchase tickets here! 4. I'll be there looking for some Kill Team action. Probably do some clubhouse cleanup as well. Please post here if you plan on attending. In case of extreme weather (ice, snow, etc.), I will post a cancellation notice at least 24 hours prior to the Game Day.
  5. THE PLACE Location: 717 SE Main St. Portland OR 97214 (map) - Around the corner from Kokiyo Teriyaki and up the stairs. Cost to play games is $8 for Ordo Members, $3 for Ordo Warlord Champions, and FREE for Emperors & Imperators! As always, your first Game Night is FREE! THE GAMES Games we play: All, with a focus on Warhammer 40k, Kill Team, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, board games and more. While it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to pre-arrange a game before coming down. New players are always welcome, feel free to stop by and check it out. BUT WHAT ABOUT COVID-19, RSV, Flu, etc? Although Oregon and Washington no longer have mask mandates, we still require all our players to be courteous and conscious of their opponents and other players around them. If you're feeling ill in any way - please stay home, and make sure to communicate with people you've been in contact with. Ordo will continue to have masks available for anyone to use, and we're happy to make certain rooms mask only if anyone requests it. GAME NIGHT EXPECTATIONS Please be aware that as always, the Czar has the ability to ask a player to leave if the Czar feels it necessary. Game Nights are meant to be enjoyable, low-stress activities, so let’s have fun.
  6. Sounds like we got two games planned for today. I'll see you all later this morning.

  9. Latest projection is middle of this month. I apologize for the lack of info, but the Ordo Senate has had a number of issues to work out over the last couples months in relation to OFCC planning.
  10. 40k, Kill Team, and probably 9th Age. Were you thinking of having some kind of event for Bolt Action, Torg?
  11. Roads are clear at my house and in Portland. I'll be seeing you two around 10:30am.
  12. So I noticed that there is more snow in the forecast for late tonight, but that should change to rain later. It should be around 40 degrees and rainy by 10am, so I'll plan on being there by 10:30am to open up. However, if those conditions are different by 9am and there is still snow + ice on the roads, I think I'll have to cancel the Game Day. @KyleM and @Hodor does that sound reasonable to you?
  13. I'll be there looking for 1-2 games of Kill Team. Alternatively, I can always work on clubhouse cleanup. Please post here if you plan on attending. In case of extreme weather (ice, snow, etc.), I will post a cancellation notice at least 24 hours prior to the Game Day.

  15. I and some of the senators will be having a meeting in one of the private rooms at noon, btw.
  16. Edit - There are a few NSFW words, FYI.
  17. Next Sunday is the Big Game, but kick-off isn't until 3:30; so let's game! I'll be at WOW looking for 1-2 games of Kill Team. Alternatively, I can always work on clubhouse cleanup. Please post here if you plan on attending. In case of extreme weather (ice, snow, etc.), I will post a cancellation notice at least 24 hours prior to the Game Day.

  19. I'm looking for a Kill Team game, possibly two. I'll probably be there before 4pm.
  20. Understood. Thank you for the update. I still plan on being there to open at 10:30am. I'll hang out till 12:30 or so, just in case anyone shows up for a later game.
  21. I'll probably be there around 10am to open up and clean tables + bathrooms before others arrive, so feel free to to get there at 10:30 or earlier, @BigMick37. I'm not sure if we'll have any Mordheim players or anyone else there, but here's hoping. 🤞
