  1. Not sure if/when people plan on showing up, but doors will be open at 10am. If no one else is there today, I'll probably finish up my work around 2:30/3pm.
  2. Nice! I've heard that craftworld Eldar are just about the worst faction in Kill Team, so this will hopefully improve things for Eldar players. 😃
  3. I'll be there attempting to inventory as many terrain tubs as possible + square away some Fantasy terrain for an upcoming event. The clubhouse will be available during the times listed above for open gaming. Please post here if you plan on attending.
  4. THE PLACE Location: 717 SE Main St. Portland OR 97214 (map) - Around the corner from Kokiyo Teriyaki and up the stairs. Cost to play games is $5 for Ordo Members, $2 for Ordo Warlord Champions, and FREE for Emperors! As always, your first Game Night is FREE! THE GAMES If you're looking to game we will be here. Opting to lay low? Stay home and stay safe, we'll catch you next time. THE MISSION Games we play: All, with a focus on Warhammer 40k, Kill Team, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, board games and more. While it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to pre-arrange a game before coming down. New players are always welcome, feel free to stop by and check it out. BUT WHAT ABOUT COVID-19? Due to the current Multnomah county mask mandate, all attendees must wear masks. Players are encouraged to spread out their games and avoid congestion. Do not attend game night if you experience any of the symptoms found here. GAME NIGHT EXPECTATIONS If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s taught us we don’t need more stress in our lives. As a result, Ordo is expecting an even greater level of friendliness and fellowship at Game Night than our normal high expectations. Please be aware that as always, the Czar has the ability to ask a player to leave if the Czar feels it necessary. Games are meant to be fun, so let’s have fun.
  5. So, it looks like it'll just be me and the rest of the inventory committee today. I'll be planning another open gaming day for either 2/12 or 2/19. Hoping to get in some games on that day.
  6. And we absolutely have done deals like this in the past. We certainly appreciate the dedication and conscientiousness of members like you. 😀
  7. It's looking like I'll be there around 3:30 or so. Can't wait to see everyone! 😀
  8. Yeah, I think that's the best way to buy WD and GW product in general.
  9. During my 25+ years of affiliation with the wargaming hobby, I've always been tempted by a White Dwarf subscription. Unfortunately, even when I've been actively gaming, the content is simply too hit or miss for me. I recently bought Issue #470 (just to have something to read over the holidays) and I was struck by the fact that although there were multiple articles for a variety of games, there was ZERO content for the one GW game I'm currently interested in (Kill Team). I did like reading the 40k content (20 pages or so), it was nice to see the how-to paint guides (6-7 pages), and because it was a Dec. issue, there was a sheet of free transfers and some optional cards for BB, Necro, AT, and AI (always cool to get free stuff). But paying $11 for something that took me all of 30 minutes to digest is not a great deal, IMHO. And I think this was the first WD I've bought since 2019, so I probably won't be buying another for quite awhile. Really? Is it located in the checkout aisle, right next to the Enquirer and the US Sun?
  10. @Tao Tsê-Mung If you and @Salty Monkey are planning on being there this Thursday night, I might be able to stop in and say Hi. I don't think I've seen either of you in person for over two months. I don't think I would play a game, but I'd probably start prepping the terrain room for the inventory work. LMK
  11. Right now, it's looking like I and two other Senators will be working on inventorying terrain and other items in the terrain room on 1/29. The club will be open during the times listed above, if anyone is interested in open gaming.
  12. Most of our 40k players attend Game Nights on Thursday Night. If you can make it on that night, I would suggest posting in this thread:
  13. I am currently planning on playing at least one game of Kill Team on this day. Thinking about bringing my paints and some terrain to work on as well. If there is sufficient interest, I may have a painting clinic and help/work with others on their projects. Please post here if you plan on attending.

  15. Hi Michael! Welcome to Ordo. 😀 If you'd like to observe some games being played, then you should come down to the W.OW. clubhouse sometime. We currently have an ongoing Necromunda league (see the Necromunda forum for more details) with players showing up on Tuesday and some Thursday nights. We also have a few Kill Team players who play games on Thursday nights and some Saturdays, although there is no structured league or campaign (for right now). We don't have any Warcry organized play going at the moment, but I know there are clubhouse regulars who play and have warbands, so we might get something going in the future (spring or summer). If you've never heard of the W.O.W. clubhouse before, be sure to check out the thread below. Also be aware that the Game Night forum has threads posted every week, detailing what days/nights and times the clubhouse will be open. As a matter of fact, I and some other Kill Team players will be at the clubhouse tomorrow (link below), so feel free to stop by and say Hi! 🙂 Hope to see you at W.O.W. soon, Michael!
  16. I will be meeting with a OF senator around 1pm on Saturday to discuss club business. Accordingly, I should have time for one KT game from 11 to 1 and then probably another from 2 to 5ish.
  17. I'm just so used to working with Citadel paints that I have only bought a handful of Vallejo and a few P3. Never tried Army painter. Basically whenever I see a paint article in White Dwarf or a GW video on Youtube, it's much easier to just grab the Citadel paint they use rather than try to color match from other lines. Of course, there are so many paints in the range now, I have to try to find the particular section (Base, technical, dry, etc) on the rack before finding individual paints. Otherwise, I will spend 10+ minutes trying to find it. 😲 Also, I realize the following statement may make me seem odd, but I still haven't tried Contrast paints. 😳
  18. Yeah, no sense in risking things. Thank you guys, @Tao Tsê-Mung and @ImperialTrooperfor all the Game Nights you opened up the clubhouse this year! 👏
  19. Hi Jake! Welcome to Ordo. 😀 If you are looking for a 40k game, I'd suggest making a post about looking for a game in this thread: as most of the club's 40k players show up on this night. Tuesday night is mostly Bloodbowl and Necromunda players right now. Feel free to show up on Tuesday night though, if you want to see the place and chat up anyone there!
  20. During the next couple months, I plan on holding Saturday Game Days at the clubhouse about once every three weeks. To compensate, I will have slightly longer hours than normal to facilitate playing longer/more games. Be aware, if the weather is snowy or icy on the designated day, that Game Day will be canceled (minimum 2 hours prior) and immediately rescheduled for the following Saturday. I plan on being at the clubhouse on 1/8 to play multiple games of Kill Team. If I don't have an opponent, I will plan on bringing a paint project to work on or do some work around the clubhouse during that time. Please post here if you plan on attending this Game Day.
