I have a backpack to hold all my gaming supplies, which may or may not include a growler to help when me or my opponent get thirsty. We also tend to buy the first round from the bar so we have an official looking glass.

There is also a brewery right across the street. So an insulated growler and a quick walk across the street will meet your beer needs every round.

Looks good. I like the green on black

Team Dice Hard will roll again. With the Legend himself leading the way I see no reason we will not be mediocre like every other year.

Sadly I have no 40k playing friends and I only have been at ofcc to fill holes in the chocolate starfish and ordo east.
But would happy to be a captian or a grunt.
Am I not your friend? 😞 I have to agree, @Skkipper is good at filling holes. He filled mine last year at the doubles event....

The down side is he hasn't called me back. 😞
Will there be a bracket for those of us who may or may not be sober by 6pm?

Participant info:
· Please arrive early with enough time to set up your painting area, once set up you will not have to change locations. There will be 15-minute breaks between rounds for cleaning/resetting.
· Be prepared for a wide range of subject matter, from AoS to 40K, organic to machine. Primer color will vary as well from round to round.
· Completion to tabletop standard is the objective but there is no bonus to finishing earlier than the allotted time.
· You are encouraged to join the judging if eliminated.
· There will be crowd participation, countdowns and such. Heckling is frowned upon, but cheering is encouraged. This will not be a quiet event.
First thing first.... I thought this was pretre... Second, heckling from painters to painters and drinking should be required.
I plan on joining, I just don't plan on winning.

Touche but carrying pocket items well away from sitting flex or contact points was/ is wonderful
When you have a kid(s) and don't want to carry around a giant bag of kid stuff, cargo pockets let you carry the bare essentials. That is worth every "not cool" comment ever. Function over fashion.

This looks awesome! I am sure I will be out in the first round, but it should be fun. Also, you should make everyone use the same paintbrushes so that all those really good painters with their fancy paintbrushes will sweat a little and level the playing field a bit. Also, also, you should designate the colors to be used and only have 1 paint pot for everyone 😛

I am spit balling here and don't have much experience in the competitive world for 8th edition. I am looking for feedback and thoughts. I took the twisted helix because it helps in all rounds of the game where as 4AE only helps with the first round of charges. I get rerolls to charge for the GSC so an 8 inch charge with the clamivous with rerolls makes like 62 %chance. I was kind of thinking first round the Nids genestealers can do their sling shot thing and if opportunity is there, GSC first turn charge, or hold them back for a solid 2nd round of charges as well. I have some ok shooting to try and clear chaf. Let me know what I am missing or need to be aware of. Yes I know the swarmlord will stick out like a sore thumb and if I can't hide him well he will die first thing, but I have to give it a shot.

Which majors? I would like to be able to point this out when defending my position of first turn DS.

The GSC have a RAW T1 deepstrike too with putting their blips into reserves...
Yes and no. I know a few T.Os that are saying no. That the blips are not actually units on the board and as such they do not get around the no T1 DS rule. It all kind of depends on the organizer of events if it will be allowed.

Change the first sentence to read:
‘Each time you roll an unmodified wound roll of 6 in the Fight phase for a model from a friendly Rusted Claw unit whilst it is within 6" of your Warlord, the Armour Penetration characteristic of that attack is improved by 1
(i.e. AP0 becomes AP-1, AP-1 becomes AP-2, and so on).’A model in a unit. But the wording is the same as the codex except for cog and claw.

What Nerf? They just corrected the name of the rusted claw instead of rusted cog.

Yeah, it is a useful FAQ. If you get the perfect storm you can psychic bomb 1 thing off the table, which is cool. Also first turn charges are still a thing. I even think that the jackals maybe be slightly useful with dual pistol and a flamer on the quad. It at least allows them to get 2 shots and melee. But I still need to debate shotgun vs 2x pistol, but I am thinking pistols are better.
The once a battle vect is fine. Though I am disappointed they FAQed that the stratagem that is denied is not considered used.

Fluger, PourSpelour, and I will be at The Tree Fort in Puyallup playing some 40k if people want to join. Doing some smaller games: 500 and 1k points. More people should come join us. Probably start around 7pm.

With the lines in the terrain, do you have to sand it first before painting?

-1 to hit, T4, 2W, 5+ save. They will die in a flurry to the new beta bolter rules.
I hope I am proven wrong, as I said I haven't played with them yet, but they do not look like they could fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

what's wrong with the bikers?
Their stat line sucks, they are a guardsman on a bike. They get heavy weapons or a shotgun, and they take penalties for moving and shooting heavies unless they are taken in The Rusted Claw. So they don't kill things well, they die to a stiff breeze, they don't offer any benefits that I can tell. I will run them a few times and try them out, but I don't expect much.
5 hours ago, WestRider said:Sweet! Let me know what you want for them.
EDIT: Actually, if you really don't want them, I'll buy the whole box off you. I want to make some Orlock Bikers for Necromunda.
I love the models. I think they look fantastic. So I will assemble them and paint them and then let them sit on the shelf until they are FAQed. But you can have the heads.

I bought a box of jackals, though now after reading a bunch of reviews and reading the rules myself, I don't really want to put them together. So I can open the box and find the female heads for you.

Stupid kellermorph only being in a $65 box. 😞 Looks like a cool character to try out. Now I just have to find one thru other means since I don't want to buy the whole box for 1 dude.
