That's a good idea, I'll mention that to him later today. Then I wouldn't have to level so high as a Wiz/Sor to be able to cast Planeshift. Being Extra-planar by birth would allow for him to develop a way for someone searching for us or recognizing us as such. Then I could spend more time as a fighter for their feat progression. Oh, I decided upon a a Psionic Warrior for level 1. Burst as my Psionic power and Up The Wall as my Bonus Feat. My Level 1 Feat is Battle Jump. I think this will do a lot for establishing the character as a Dragoon. I need my wisdom at 15 to get the 1 Psionic energy I need to be able to use Up the Wall (works as long as I don't spend the energy on Boosting my speed).
If I multi-class to wizard, I'll go Str 15 Dex 15 Con 13 Int 20 Wis 15 Cha 9.
If I multi-class to sorcer, I'll go Str 15 Dex 15 Con 13 Int 11 Wis 15 Cha 18.
If i multi-Class to fighter, I'll go Str 16 Dex 17 Con 15 Int 15 Wis 15 Cha 9.
Keep in mind, I get a Str-2 Dex+2 Con-2 Int+2 from my race, already included in the above.

So a buddy hit me up last week wanting to know if I wanted to play DnD on roll20.net with him and a few others. It's been probably 12 years since I've played, but it sounded fun. We're supposed to start tomorrow evening. I'm working on my character right now. We rolled my stats earlier. From lowest to highest; 9, 13, 15, 15, 17 and 18. I'm planning on being a Gray Elf (+2 Int, +2 Dex, -2 Con, -2 Str). I plan on becoming a Planeshifter (Manual of the Planes) when I get to the appropriate level.
Where I'm running into a standstill is my class. I was thinking a Wizard makes the most sense on a very basic level. The realm we're starting in is very backwater, no(or limited) knowledge of the planes. I was thinking I'd have my character be obsessed with summoning and believe that the creatures come from other realms rather than being "magiked" into existence, as the rest of his world tends to believe.
The other class I've been considering is a sorcerer. I don't always enjoy the paperwork involved with the Wizard. The wider access to spells is preferable over the Sorcerer, but the paperwork..... The other thing, for myself, is I enjoy Combat Mages. Using the Sorcerer and building a Final Fantasy style Dragoon is something I've thought about doing for some time now. I imagine it would be a Meta-Magic Feat heavy character. Spells that allow me to jump really high, throw a javelin, feather fall and return javelin to my hand. If I could eventually BAMF into the air and throw the jav, that works great. BAMFing could be my characters introduction to the planes and why he starts pursuing knowledge of them and eventually Planar Travel.
Any thoughts, suggestions, comments or otherwise?

Best picture of Night Haunter ever!

The new 4+ elites look pretty cool. The Taurox is...interesting. I don't like the quad treads, but dig on the rest of the model.
-
I really don't care for it, especially after looking at the various models and sprues.

It's a missilimo!

Perhaps it is out of principle. Apoc is an optional supplement, as are Apoc Datasheets. Standard Datasheets are for Standard Games.

Ya, I'd go with what Puppy said. I mean, when you start thinking about it, with those missiles being housed in the bunker below, where would the troops in the bunker realistically be? Blah blah blah. We're playing action figures with dice. Discuss with your opponent before hand, of course. :)

Well, in the mean time, if you'd like a direct quote.

via Jes Bickham (who is the editor of White Dwarf) on GW Digital Facebook
Some clarification on the rules we presented in White Dwarf today for some folks here: the Imperial Knights don't occupy any force organisation slots, they are not Lords of War, they are an army unto themselves. Something we forgot to say is that all Imperial Knights are scoring units, and if you're playing 3-6 as a primary detachment, pick one as your Warlord.

Always scoring, and doesn't take up a FOC slot. Even as allies, from what I've read. Also, has anyone came across something saying I can't take it with Chaos, Tau, Dark Eldar, Tyranids, etc.

Im seeing preorders up on Ebay for like 115-120.00 with free shipping...
Are these places to be trusted?
140 with a 20% discount is 112. Something to consider.

I'll be moving to the area come summer. :) I don't think I'll be ready for OFCC, but after I get situated, I'll be down for some porch gaming. :)

Does the FoR come with the missile silo as a stock, fixed weapon? Or is it an upgrade?
-
If the door is open, a model is not able to stand on top. Would you place a model on top of the Icarus and call it kosher?
-
I would say if that platform has a door covering the Missile Silo and the player was claiming he had the missile silo, the model is not WYSIWYG as I don't see a missile silo...I see a door.

The question, I feel, becomes "Do we place 1000 points of fortifications before the game that are neutral until/unless occupied OR do we play a XXXX Point game with one side being forced to Spend X% of points on fortifications?"
Personally, if I were playing a game as you described or on a table like the one I want, I'd have it be separate from the army lists, and be neutral unless occupied. I want it to add to the game, not be forced upon someone....in most instances.
Then, adding things like Power Generators, if one side occupies/controls the power generators, they can restrict WHAT fortifications are able to fire, depending on the type of fortification. In this instance, I'd prefer to see the power generators have cables running to the fortifications it powered. Perhaps some have their own generators.
If an Imperial army is within XX distance of an Imperial Relic (Church of the Immortal Emperor, Space Marines and their Statues, etc) they get +1 INV or a 5+ inv.

I would love to play games of that scale with people on a regular basis. I'd love to have a setup that includes the above picture AND a city.
Sometimes I hate being OC about building things.
Sometimes.
But I'd love to have an Imperial City with fortifications.

I was under the impression you shot at the Closest Arc within TLOS. I don't have my BRB near by, so I don't have a reference, just an opinion.

I think if something is released on the 22nd, it's released ON the 22nd. So New Zealand and OZ get things first.
