I'm checking to see if there would be enough interest for a mid-war pseudo-Stalingrad east front based tournament around Oct. meaning, only lists out of the book "Eastern Front" would be allowed. Tournament would be held in Portland. Forces from book include: Germans Finnish Hungarian Italian Romanian Soviet

Welcome to the "region". There are people scattered about northern Oregon that play. There are quite a few that play in groups outside of games stores though too. For Portland stores, I have run tournaments at Guardian Games if that is your thing; there are players at Bridgetown Hobbies and Unplugged Games is trying to get a group. There are also a couple stores in Salem that do FoW. It seems like it is mostly mid-war and late-war but some have early war companies wanting to see some action. There is a tournament at NHMGS Enfilade convention each year. We also have a friendly team/store challenge type tournament between guys in Olympia and Portland with a trophy where best general gives up this CiC and it becomes part of the trophy. If you don't have a "store/team" you can be drafted into an existing one. This happens in Sept/Oct each year. Info on this will be posted on this forum in the coming months. It alternates location and this year is back in Olympia.

Enfilade 2014 Flames of War Tournament
taran.shannara posted a blog entry in Rose City Dukes and Duchesses
The Northwest Historical Miniature Gaming Society convention Enfilade 2014 Flames of War Late War 1650pt Tournament is in the books. It was held at the Red Lion Hotel in Olympia, WA on May 24th. The convention ran from May 23-25. When we arrived to open the doors to the State Room the tables were all arranged like last year. The event space could handle up to 30 players comfortably if we needed to so there is plenty of room for growth. We had twelve players come out and battle it out for ww2 late war supremacy. There were 7 Axis players and 5 Allied players. I could not have asked for a better group of players to be tournament director for. There were no issues to speak of and everyone was a great sport. He lost points on the historical part but gained for original idea. Images from the action... For reference, the player packet from 2014. enfilade-2014-fow-player-packet-official-v1-0.pdf We will see what war era the tournament will be for next year.... early war, mid war, or late war.... I look forward to seeing you all again for Enfilade 2015. regards, pdxwar@gmail.com -
