  1. @imperialjawa: I don't think I'd be able to ship to Ireland, but here's a company that produces some awesome drop pods that does. I've bought a lot of models from him, and they're all great. He offers discounts for spending over $100 and has pretty reasonable shipping. https://www.miniaturescenery.com/ProductPage.asp?Code=BNKTL And my favorite: https://www.miniaturescenery.com/ProductPage.asp?Code=VH1MK2TRANS Hope this helps. :)
  2. As a Joe Shmo who has no deal with UPS or the like, shipping outside US is incredibly EXPENSIVE. They're really light and don't take up a lot of space, anyone here have experience with reasonable international shipping?
  3. I can't make any during the summer, but I'll crank some more out once the school year starts up again.
  4. @burk Yeah, how many are you thinking?
  5. I'd do it. That'd be super cool
  6. $20 a piece seems reasonable, with discounts if you want bunch. :)
  7. Unfortunately no, that would be really cool, but I'd then have to design the interior and somehow make a hinge from mdf.
  8. And the finished product! Super easy to build when you don't have to clip sprues or shave mold lines. :)
  9. Finished the 3D model! Working in layers was a bit difficult, but I think it turned out pretty cool. The entire model will be laser cut from mdf and cost less than $4 in materials. The individual layers will then be glued together and end up with a really durable, paintable model. I'd love to see if there's an interest for something like this to mass produce, I've been considering getting together a kickstarter for more models produced in this fashion. Anyways, enjoy!
  10. Still working on the robots, but am taking a break to design some admech drop pods. The concept is something that can function to transport smaller troops inside, but act as a "sky crane" for the larger models (size wise, there's no way 3 battle servitors would come anywhere close to fitting in a regular drop pod). I drew up an initial design, and will be making a 3D model to be cut from MDF. Critiques welcome and encouraged. :)
  11. KAPcom is taking AdMech to OFCC! Figured I'd keep you guys updated on the progress thus far. First thing I decided to work on is the new robots. These are such awesome models, and ripe for conversion. I decided to make a pair of big daddy's, so a bit of green stuff work would be necessary.
  12. Need access to captains forum (imperial fist bumps)
  13. Got the board done in time for Guardian Cup, and was awarded Best Appearance! Here's the whole army:
  14. I build robots as well. :)
  15. Mostly finished. Still have to weather the tile and whatnot, but you get the idea. Generator is painted and working! I'm super excited that it all worked. Anyways, see you all at Guardian Cup! And a .gif of the lighting effects!
  16. Making progress! Have the board painted / etched and is being glued. Also have the generator cut and put together. More updates as they come!
  17. We accept the challenge! Looking forward to cracking some skulls.
  18. Everything was designed (and being built) by me. I've currently got access to a laser cutter, and have been making full use of it. :) For the interior of the generator, I picked up a remote-controlled RGB LED strip with various light patterns. I'm also making some lit smoke plumes for my drop pods. As far as lights in the etching, I think the only thing I'd consider is picking up some EL wire, but at this point thats a bit much. I'm not a huge fan of copious amounts of light as after a while it usually becomes more of an annoyance to other players.
  19. Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I've been keeping busy! My latest project is a new display board for my Admech and drop pods to chill on. I wanted to design something portable that will fit in my battlefoam bag, but big and flashy enough to catch people's attention. So, here's the design. Most everything is laser-cuttable (I guess that's a word), and I plan on adding some really cool led effects into the generator (which is magnatized to the board). I also plan on etching in texture on to the surface of the board, adding bits of drop terrain and rubble, and embedding cables which hopefully will turn out cool. Most of the parts will be cut from 1/8" MDF and acrylic.
  20. Those kits are awesome for the price. I know GG has a few of those (no idea how often the restock though).
  21. Yeah, I'm in the same boat, have about 20 at mech infantry all painted up, but these models are way cooler.
  22. Those troops are looking pretty solid. 150+change for 10 man squad w/ 3 rapid fire haywire and some str4 ap4 rapid fire super bolters looks great, with some decent survivablilty. Sad about the walkers being not that great, (and probably expensive $ as well), but oh well.
  23. My admech don't really follow any of the established fluff (I'm the absolute worst when it comes to fluff, I've read a grand total of 2 black library books :P). They do follow the aesthetics and paint scheme, though. As for the cookie cutter nature, that's an unfortunate by-product of my having a lot of the same models. I do agree that gerantius, although massively overpriced, is something that isn't a lot of fun for people not familiar with imperial knights. I'll avoid him and the forgeworld knights for that reason. Yup, that's me. The pods+bikes list you'll see at the upcoming guardian cup, don't you worry. :) As for ofcc, I'd really like to run an all ad-mech army, as I've finally got the models to do so. I've been playing pods for years now, so OFCC will be a nice break. I really appreciate the input, everyone. I just want to make sure I'm not bringing anything that'll offend most people. The overall power for the rest of my team is relatively low (we're throwing around ideas for a foot-dar army, and an old school style deamon army), so my list will probably be the strongest of the bunch. Thanks again for the help. :)
  24. Hoping to use what I've got (poor college student with little time/ money) I don't mind adding a few things here and there, but trying to keep the core close to what I've already got. I think I might add some more scouts, seems like fun. Forgot the storm raven, and an armored guy with a jet pack, have one of those as well
  25. Models I have are the primary drive behind this list. I've got a knight-sized giant robot, a riptide-sized robot, 3 centurions (heavily converted for admech), 20 admech infantry, and a bunch of admech bikes.
