  1. The other bit is figuring out how many wounds. 3 structure points is somewhere around 26-32 wounds. The NPT has twice that amount.

If you figure that a lascannon would have a 50% chance to remove a structure point, doing 3.5 damage per. Thats around 7 damage per structure point. Baneblade at 3 structure points would be somewhere around 21 wounds, but the Stormlord is also 3 structure points with 30 wounds. The Revenant Titan has 3 structure points/32 wounds. Warhound Scout Titan has 3 structure points with 2 void shields/35 wounds with a 4+ void shield. Gauss Pylon is 2 structure points 4+ cover save/30 wounds.

I'm having a hard time finding anything with that many structure points. 6 structure points

The Warlord Battle Titan has 9 Structure points with 6 void shields/70 wounds and 3+ void shield. Stompa is 4 structure points/40 wounds.

I was under the impression you were using the storm lord chassis... didn't know you were changing the movement... also any other vehicle you looking at can't charge? Most infantry moves 6... your death guard terminators move 4" and can charge 12...

I like the stormlord because it crosses over. It's in both sets of rules and it has rules that match. The Extended Gun Platform that you can shoot out of.

I wouldn't even have looked at it if you hadn't brought it up. But I think that keeping more to the flavor of a slow moving tower of wood with diseases pus dripping out of it being powered/pushed by nurglings.

The new wounding charts change a lot of the math on these weapons. Also you should be forced to take a flesh mower! The old picture called out the spikes with corpses... it will make it slightly better in combat (don't change the ws) but increase your points for the custom nature of the vehicle.

ya, I know. I haven't put that part on yet. Wanted to keep the model durable so pieces don't break off moving it around.

You are taking existing units and giving them new weapons/factions/keywords and suggesting that this isn't making stuff up...

Counts as would be the way to adhere to current rules. Taking a collage of current rules from lots of models is making stuff up.

I haven't done anything yet. I am still looking at stuff. What I was hoping for was to look at the weapons and find the equivalent. There are no more blast templates. So what's the new thing that looks like the old thing in stats.

Just wondering, is this for that black friday apoc game? If so, I strongly suggest doing counts as. Apoc get's really bogged down with normal rules, so custom models with untested rules seems like a mistake. Could try it anyway, and might be fine. Just a suggestion.

In terms of giving it fresh rules, I suggest Adding the price of a Hellhound, 2 Vindicators, a Chaos Bastion, and a Wyvern. I'd give it the CHAOS, TITANIC, DAEMON, DAEMON ENGINE, VEHICLE and NURGLE keywords, but not Deathguard (it isn't an astates vehicle, mutated or otherwise). I'd use the Chaos Bastion for Toughness and transport capacity, fire points, and the ability to shoot while engaged. I'd give it a 4+ armor save (and 5+ Daemonic invulnerable save). For weapons, I'd take 2 Demolisher Cannons, 1 Inferno Cannon, 6 Heavy Bolters, and a Wyvern quad stormshard mortar. For wounds, I'd give it half of the total wounds for the hellhound+vindicators+bastion+wyvern, which should be around 40 wounds. BS start at 4+ and Speed at 6" but both would degrade, as would attacks and WS (WS and attacks start at the highest of any of the mentioned vehicles). I wouldn't give it disgustingly resilent, or if I did, I'd reduce the armor save to 6+. Regarding degrading, everything get's worse by 1 step at half wounds, and at 1 quarter wounds.

I don't think I am looking at making up stuff. I would like to use rules that have a direct comparison between the original apoc books I have and current rules. The weapons are exactly the same as the Plagueburst Crawler which doesn't have a direct comparison but at least the weapons are the same.

Actually.. 40 wounds at a 4+ seems better than 32 wounds at a 3+. It is petrified wood. I was thinking that 36 wounds would be better, more aligned to the Gargantuan Squiggoth but the point value is going to be  higher than the squiggoth.
