Sherbert
Aaron just told me that there was a guy that came into the shop who wanted people to help playtest a new game called Steel Wheels. he said it was in collaboration with Lego or something. I wont be in on tuesday, but could one of you guys ask Aaron and find the scoop.
Gailbraithe
Who is Aaron? I thought you were Aaron? I'm so confused.
intrizic
Aaron up front, not sure if he's the big guy or the little guy. After Glen, i don't keep track

Fix
It would appear to be this: https://www.facebook.com/SteelWheelsGame/info?tab=page_info They seem to have unsuccessfully tried a kickstarter last year. Here's a video.
JMGraham
Not very impressive. Doesn't look like they really knew what they were doing, but maybe they've learned from the experience. Lego-wise, my kids do better custom builds than the ones they show. :( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1173400077/steel-wheels?ref=discovery
Fix
Yeah, I don't think it's so much "in collaboration with Lego" as it is "in collaboration with Legos." There was another group that was working on a lego-based mech combat game a year or so ago that looked much better. But of course I would say that. smashthedean
I say we put Jim's kids to the task of putting together a Lego game.
Fix
So apparently the deal is that the guys who designed this are going to be coming out next tuesday and looking for playtesters. I have a short doc file for anyone who is interested, but all it really is is a short guide to vehicle construction so you can get an idea ahead of time what you might want to build. There's not really enough here to tell how the game plays in any significant way.
Gailbraithe
Meh. I don't want to buy legos. I got enough stuff already, and legos are a dangerous addiction. Plus my dogs would inevitably eat them.
Fix
I don't think they're asking anyone to buy anything. On second thought, I have no idea what they're doing.
