scottshoemaker
I love Vallejo paint, but the reds a bit thin for topcoating (too traslucent) I'm looking to stipple the red on parts that are a bit over weathered. Anybody have any firsthand experience with other brands red? I'm thinking P3, Army Painter or even GW.
splinx
What shade of Vallejo red are you using buddy? P3 and Army painter are similar consistancy to Vallejo. GW base paints have a higher concentration of pigments so stipple pretty well. The layers are a touch thicker than normal and may stipple ok as well. scottshoemaker
Vallejo Model Air Ferrari Red, but color match isn't hugely important.
splinx
The GW mephiston Red is pretty thick and decent for stippling!
Brick Bungalow
For what you describe I'd probably go with Polly-S or Golden.
mightyatom13
The Vallejo model air paints are much thinner than standard Vallejo paints as they are designed for air brushes.
