thanks - its a complete ready to go set up - I would keep it but my wife keeps looking at my growing printer "collection" and with the Saturn I have no need to keep it.

I have acquired a Saturn 4k (original Saturn) on a trade - had a blown LCD and had to clean up the insides from a resin overflow. Anyhow, I have it all working wonderfully now - (new lcd and IPA elbow grease).
Anyhow, I have a Elegoo Mars 2 Pro - with Mercury 2 - clean & cure with tank (and extras ... ie. extra resin vats, 2nd print plate ... resin) to find a new home. Pictures to follow. All in working order and good to go. 200$ OBO - for the entire set up with extras.

I will give that box set some thought. Although I could probably find some tokens to print as well.

I know you can run from the dehydrator directly to the printer - I just don't. But...
yes - if I get a sealed bag that doesn't seem "fresh" like the bag isn't tight and vacuumed tight - I will pop the spool into the dyhydrator for 8-12 hours over night just out of course. And if I am running into a spool with issues like silking or breaking lots - I will pull that spool and run it for a day or 2 in the dehydrator. If I run into the issue with multiple spools from the same vendor I stop buying that brand.
I also have a small dehumidifier in my printing enclosure - that's constantly running.
I try to not have multiple spools out - and I keep the bags and little silica pouches - and store spools in the bags with extra silica when I am not using them... typically with "special filaments - like rainbow stuff" lol.
you can always make a dry box ... a tote with a seal - put dehydrating pouches in it.

hmmmm I have a sunlu one I have been using on spools when they are bad - but I don't run it directly from the dehydrator to the printer. I think it is set up to do so - I just don't have my set up that way. It seems to do the job of dehydrating ok though.

Anyone have any good recommendations for free STL's for 40k terrain (ruins, etc)? Making a home table set with PLA (nothing fancy). Easier to print the better. Mainly, just not looking to invest in 'STL's' unless you 'really think they're worth it, or cheaper.
Other than standard 40k, i'd also love some 'necron' themed stuff.
Just so many things i'm finding, and figured some people might have 'favorites'
I find the free stuff on Printables or Thingiverse or sometimes on Cults. My Mini Factory also has a few things for free.
Other than that - Printable Terrain has some decently priced stuff. 3D Alien Worlds has some decent stuff as well ( I have picked up some Japanese & Eldar terrain from them). They have some Necron themed stuff as well.
I will try to think of some others - but I find searching google images - with your descriptor and a ".stl" in the name helps get started.

j1 snapmaker - dual head FDM printer....right now I just print using one head at a time. I recently ran out of the filament that the printer came with, and bought some creality spools and made sure they had the same specs as the filament I previously used. That being said, I've had some issues.
1) the new stuff seems much more brittle. I printed my first piece..all went well, but two thin poles on it snapped off immediately while I was trimming excess off (this new stuff seems to leave spidersilk threads all over).
2) when trying to do multiple pieces at a time, I'm getting spaghetti. Basically, the filament stop sticking and it goes everywhere.
3) a really odd occurrence is when it seemed to go off several inches mid way during the print, so the bottom half was in the correct place, but then everything shifted to the left by two inches and it kept printing...
All of the specs of the filament matched what I previously had..but this has really got me stumped. I haven't changed any settings. I'm using snapmaker luban software.
The stuff did say value-pack, so maybe it is just a cheaper filament and not going to be very good for thin stuff, but just in case, I thought I'd post here to see if anyone else had thoughts that could help.
Hmmm do you have a filament dehydrator? sounds like funky filament - like "moist" filament. I would also clean your build bed with dawn and warm water ... if you can remove it.
But I think you probably have a bad batch of old filament.

where are you located (Portland metro?) and do you have a preference as to where you play? (LGS or ORDO or?) I am not sure I fit into what your looking for - I just think it may help with finding people.

I don't ... but I know a guy ... whom sells for Warlord ... he has stock on hand - and if not can get it ordered direct. - And I probably can get it on a discount (future in-laws) Anyhow, I will send them a quick message to see if they have it on hand.

I updated my blog today with some photos and thoughts on the OFCC 40k (doubles) event. - Sorry you didn't pop over just to say hello Bro G. It was good to see all the old faces I remember.

I am hoping for continued improvement of the app - but I am guessing it will come behind a paywall. I would like to see something similar to the Infinity Army App - which has modes for game play as well as list building - and is a must for game nights.
Currently, the best option on the data cards is get get the free downloads - and latest updates and print them yourself.

I've had 3 games of 10th and will be at the OFCC doubles event this weekend for 5 more lol. So far I am enjoying the light feel returning to the game this edition. But I am sure GW will muck that up with data card & codex creep over the next 12-24 months lol.

Why buy it for terrain and minis, when we know that GW’s just going to drop it from their production line within a year?
3D printer go brrrt!
very true - I would be printing anything I needed as well - but I thought if anything may be worthwhile - it was those bits lol.

I think for myself- the new edition will probably provide nice terrain and minis - but I think the existing rules for epic Armageddon are just fine as they are. Especially considering the online resources for epic gold and other versions.
this 30k edition will most likely be just imperial factions that already exist in 30k - no xenos.
Why wait for the community to come up with additional rules - when one (or several) already exists for 40K epic?- 2

Ok - after sitting and looking over all the dropped data cards (GW and FW) along with the points over last weekend I’m stuck.
What 1000pt force for OFCC doubles? My initial and still fall back is imperial knights. But after looking over everything- and my past OFCC painted Eldar armies - I am thinking Eldar - possibly a Harlequin force. But maybe a corsair list? Or wraithwall? Lol
It really feels like I have too many painted choices lol and with only 1000pts to work with - it’s so much fun to come up with little lists that really fit a theme. Not sure how competitive they could be - just not used to being in this position- of not really needing to paint anything- rules and stuff free online lol.

I may print a few new figures - but otherwise I have no plans to purchase anything for this edition. I can use the PDFs and existing figures. So I don't need to break my vow not to purchase GW heheh.
Looks like Imperial Knights for OFCC for me. (5 models lol).

I've gotten on the list for pre-order though Shiv Games in Salem - looking forward to trying it out. With the starter box I will be able to scale prints well for expanding the armies lol
