ugh that sucks... do you have a band saw? sorry man that looks like a welded block of crud to cut through. But I think if you are trying to save this print ... then cutting then sanding and buffing are the only ways I can think of myself.

Hmmm filament print stuck supports - I typically clip off the supports that won’t snap off with snippers. Leaving a little spot to clean up with an exacto knife and sand paper.  I sliced my finger pretty good last month with the exacto knife lol. So I picked up a newer pair of snippers 🙂

I am pretty sure my Bolt Action group will be interested.

I will have to look at my calendar - I Have a funeral to prepare a slideshow for on the 17th (my sister in-law) - Anyhow, that's what will be keeping me busy this week.  If I can push through it I think I can do the 16th - if I get things in order by next weekend 🙂

I work in Tualatin / Sherwood - live south of the metro area - near Aurora / Hubbard - I can get to G&G probably around 5 typically.

I’ve got one painted fleet (Eldar) and several other fleets needing assembly and paint. - and a space mat around somewhere. After the holidays I’d be up for popping out to OC for some BFG.

I have not tried any of the other of the "Rampant" games - but I did pre-order Xenos Rampant which I should receive in a week or so. Seems like a cool way to quickly play with my dusty 40k stuff.

Just a Reminder - to bump this thread - Bolt Action Game Day in Aurora (just south of Canby and Wilsonville) on Saturday ... This event will be low key I am told - I plan to be there at set up (bringing my Island Assault table) and my USMC to have a few good games.

hmmm I am not sure about putting a heating device into the workings of a 3d printer. Does that radiate heat or is it for holding? A simple enclosure with a small heater is pretty effective.  even a small tabletop grow tent could work.

For my set up - it made a difference- I got more failures when it got colder. After building an enclosure- so I could control the temps things were more stable. 

Well Brother G... it would be fun to play some Bolt Action with ya - been a long while since we played something... possibly 40k?  lol - anyhow, if you get the time to check it out that would be cool.

Army Books (current) and Datacards.

The game days folks make a standard "Reinforced Platoon" built from the "Armies of ... " books...units not from campaign or other extra books typically. Although the game days are not tourneys so folks bring other things if they want to. But several of the players and organizers are planning to go to LVO - so they are trying to stick to LVO legal builds.  That doesn't mean you have to build your list that way.  Most all these players are new to war-games in general - I have not heard anything about what war periods are being used... or tooling up lists specific to tourney play.

check it out... see how things go and make the list you want to play... is pretty much how things roll currently.

I don't have all the details - but a Bolt Action game day tourney will be happening in Aurora, Oregon (space reserved - plans stuff worked out) on November 12th ... 1250pts ("Armies Of..." lists - LVO style prep).  This is not a tourney - just 3 games and a fun day. 

When I know more I will let you know... I hear they may have a game day as well in Dec or prior to LVO in Jan?  I don't know - not going to LVO myself. I will be at this game day though - most likely with my USMC ready to roll.

New player I can toss in the 9th ed rulebook as well - and discount things heavily.

I am not needing to pay bills - or recoup a massive amount of $$ - I am simply dropping most of my 40k stuff (NOT THE ELDAR) - if I come back to the game in a later edition I will have the pointy ears to play. I mostly want to clear out the clutter in my hobby area and 40k is dead weight.

There is another game day (not tourney just play) set for November 12th (Saturday).  I don't have the details - but figure same as other game days ...ie. 1250pts - 3 games - "...Armies of..." list style (not required - but a few are planning to go to LVO and are testing LVO legal lists). I am not going to LVO... so I will take my 2 platoon USMC probably to play with options.

Typically a fun day with 3 games with interesting tables and a variety of opponents.

I will post more info as I hear more.
