  1. Back to virtual pivot: I don't think a model can pivot into combat. For that to happen. It would either have to pivot, then slide backwards, or "charge" with its own flank.
  2. I would assume the Stank could not pivot into combat. I was under the understanding that this ruling was to prevent railroading.
  3. Per Rain Dog's request here are a few rulings that have either been addressed in other threads or given by Rain Dog person. This list will be updated as more rulings come along in threads or are sent to me by TOs. OFFICIAL OFCC TEAM EVENT RULINGS PREDITORY FIGHTER: Models giving supporting attacks from the second rank or third if in horde spear etc. may benefit from the extra attack from the predatory fighter special rule. WOOD ELF MAGIC ARROWS Multiples of the same kind of magic arrows Are allowed to be taken by more than one unit. RANDOM MOVEMENT AND VIRTUAL PIVOT The pivot for random movers is to be considered virtual and does not need to maintain the one inch rule during the pivot. WHERE DO I FIND DOGS OF WAR OR NORSE RULES? Link
  4. This does not go for Vancouver BC. There are lots of fun things about Vancouver BC. I just don't remember them due to the alcohol consumption on my trip there.
  5. Fun fact about Vancouver: There are no fun facts about Vancouver.
  6. This is what happens when you post on forums past your bedtime.
  7. Sorry about the misspelled thread earlier. Here it is more correctly written. How is predatory fighter fighter and supporting attacks being ruled in OFCC? I would assume they get but as army book supersedes the BRB, but I want to know for sure.
  8. Lizard men army special rule. There are mixed opinions online about models I. The 2 nd rank getting the extra extra atack that they can roll up. Different tournaments rule differently. I personally think they should, but whatever the event organizers rule is fine. I just want to know so lizard player can plan for it.
  9. How is predictors fighter and supporting attacks being ruled in OFCC? I would assume they get but as army book supersedes the BRB, but I want to know for sure.
  10. TEAM AMERICA: WARHAMMER POLICE (Stars) Captain America: Darron Forbes (Gamer Geek) Army: Classified John Kersey (Sylvos) Army: Wood Elves Roy Brooka (Ma'Ka) Army: Lizardmen Russ (Godric) Army: Empire
  11. TEAM AMERICA: WARHAMMER POLICE (Stripes) Captan America: Jeremy Srofe (KJTW) Army: Ogre Kingdoms Neil Marker (Sinewgrab) Army: Empirates Tom Cutts (Thomistockles) Army: Daemons of Chaos Eric Olson (Noslo) Army: Dwarves
  12. So does this mean that you guys have rules you can have multiples of the same arrows for OFCC?
  13. Ditto John. Also, by looking at the arrow choices, I am assuming OFCC has ruled to allow multiples of the same enchanted item in the case of the woo elf special arrows?
  14. That's the way to do it. Ogres want to fight, and I'm inclined to let them.
  15. If you have 3 ranks of three with charioteers in the secound ranks then that's no moon!
  16. I would avoid a gut star. As durable as it seems, it is only ever a single spell from totally disappearing.
  17. 3 wide never gets across the table against an army with a fair bit of shooting, and also lacks any kind of staying power with init 2 or ASL.
  18. I have recently warmed to the idea of running ogres 5 wide by two deep. The main reason is two fold. 1: ogres want to fight, so I want to let them. Most peoe run blocks of troops wider then 5 , which means when maximized all models get to fight. Ogres are going to win by killing, not by static res. 2: gut stars are bad points economy. Three models not fighting just to provide extra wounds and a chance for stubborn that never pays out seems wasteful. And that unit is always one dwellers/pit/sun from vanishing. (I also don't run slaughter masters, and dislike bunkering) I think that if I properly anchor my flanks 5x2 will be pretty effective. Thoughts?
  19. So I guess the answer to my question is that opinion is all over the place. Personally I think that the current edition is pretty self balancing. If you are afraid of the big spells, don't death star. If you are worried about Monsters take a tar pit or a cannon. If you build around a single unit or mechanic there is always a counter out there especially with the current books. That said, it is not my event to run, and I believe it is going to be outstanding just like the last four I have been to. I also look forward to seeing how the open works out. I think we can handle a no comp world. It is about the players, not the rules. I hope that seeing how the open does will support my opinion.
  20. I have noticed that within my weekly gamer group, and OFCC team that this years comp pack has generated very strong feelings among some of us, and I am wondering what the community as a whole feels about it? I am not interested in starting any shouting matches, or anything, I just want to know what people honestly think.
  21. Just pokin' fun. I understand there are a lot of 40-curious out there. But it's okay. We are a tolerant bunch.
