  1. Haven't filled in the lore aspects yet, but here's my potential Escher gang:

    https://yaktribe.games/underhive/gang/medon's_mire_escher_2.445476/

    15 Models

Queen that's pretty geared up for close combat, with a phyrr cat
    one Death Maiden champ,

    One heavy stubber champ,

    1 chem Thrower Ganger specialsit,

    1 Las gun Ganger,

    1 Shotgun ganger,

    3 pistol Juves (little sisters)
3 Wild Runners with Bows and Throwing knives
    3 phelynx pets
Couple of smoke grenades spread around.

Had a test game last night - I didn't do a great job of supporting my close combat models - The Queen and Death Maiden absolutely tore through folks in close combat, but the problem with a successful fight action is that you're standing out in the open after it happens....

I could have tried to keep the juves closer to the pack and made it harder to target the high cost models.

My ranged firepower is a little limited - seems pretty easy to drop them and leave me without many outsides of 12".

I haven't added my 40xp of advancements yet - I'll likely add a skill or two, but go pretty heavy on Movement advances - 6,7 and 8" movements will be pretty ridiculous.

photo of them below - in the middle of prepping for a slapchop paint job.

@ninefinger - thanks! I have tons of models, (6 or 7 gangs), a couple Ambots, and some other random stuff, tons of terrain, etc., just haven't prioritized painting my gangs since I didn't have any local friends to play against. I'm in LA the 10th-16th this month (I work in the film industry), but generally am available. I'll follow for updates, and just let me know what day/dates, what I need to do to register, etc., and I'll pencil it in! Excited to get some gang warfare in!

Yep, as Scotty said, just add your info to the google sheet and we'll consider you 'signed up'.   If you can have a gang list ready for approval by the 12th, that's ideal.  Its looking like we'll have a pretty regular group of folks at the clubhouse on Thursday nights, 5-9 ish, but folks can schedule games for anywhere or anytime that's convenient.

Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons are the typical times W.O.W is open (Ordo's clubhouse - we use both terms interchangeably just to confuse newbies).

Very late to the party, but I'd love to jump in. I'll need some practice games to get up to speed (I played old Necromunda, but need some practice). I have 6 different gangs, but would probably do enforcers or Orlock as that's what's 'most ready' - meaning I put them together but haven't painted yet.

Is there a start date announced yet?

Awesome!  Welcome @Krovak13!  Not late to the party at all!

We've announced 10.12 as the 'start date', but that will really just be a cuttoff for signups and announcing the first batch of prearranged matches.

The goal will be that everyone gets 2 predetermined games in every 3 weeks.   Folks are welcome to add additional pickup games.  (Ideally everybody gets at least 6 games in, but you know what gamers are like).

There should be a mechanic that lets people play games with one-off gangs, if we end up with people that can't commit to the full schedule.  (But we haven't really fleshed that out yet - will do so as needed)

No painting requirement, but Ordo typically does incentives for folks that are fully painted or making progress.  If you end up short models, feel free to ping me - I can have some loaners or bounty hunters available for regular use at the clubhouse.

Game Datacards - can also make custom ganger or vehicle cards, as well as tactics style cards for reference.  Much more versatile for 40k, but useful if you don't mind the data entry aspect.

    Campaign Rules:

    Spoiler

This will be a survival campaign. This means what you start with is what you have.

There will be no access to any purchase lists from any source once the campaign starts.

There will be no access to new gang members

There will be no access to new Hired Guns

Territories will not be used.  Booby Traps and Gang Terrain items will have no affect

Credits will not be generated or gained from scenarios.

    Meat/food is not used.

Gangs will start with 2000 credits, 20 Reputation and 40 xp points to assign.

Gangs may start with one specialist as normal.  Up to two additional Gangers may be upgraded to specialists for 6 XP and gain a random Primary Skill.  Otherwise Gangers follow the normal rules for their advancement rolls.

Alliances will not be used - but  Underhive Outcast Delegation Gangs may be fielded with Arbitrator approval.

There are no starting gear restrictions, Hangers-on, Brutes, or House Specific Items/gangers. Buy all the things!  The Trading Post r from the ‘23 Core Rulebook should be used for items not available to your house list.  Significant numbers of illegal items may attract the attention of Imperial Authorities.

A Google Sheet has been established for campaign tracking.  Scenario wins/losses will count for less than participation and mauling each other.

Any random advances or equipment will be rolled for at Campaign Kickoff

Gangers will accumulate XP as normal. Death is real.

Campaign winner will be determined by accumulation of Escape Points.

No vehicle rules or Ash Waste upgrades will be used.

The Arbitrators will set a schedule of 4 fixed league games, and 2 wild card games.  Expectation will be to get your 2 scheduled games in every 3 weeks.  Wild Card games can be played against any participating players or against non-Campaign players w/approval.  Players will determine scenarios and matchups. Games will not be restricted to the Ordo Clubhouse and can be played anywhere.

    Special Scenarios will pop up.

As a veteran of many stalled campaigns, this one is meant to encourage engagement and minimize the backend paperwork.  We will look at future campaigns based on participation here.  There is a discord channel for general communication and questions, here

    Experience and Advancements

    Spoiler

    Experience

As per pg 148 and 149

A model gains XP for any of the following actions:
1 XP if their action directly causes an enemy fighter to suffer one or more Serious Injuries.*
2 XP if their action causes an enemy vehicle to become Wrecked.
2 XP if their action directly causes an enemy fighter to go Out of Action.*
If the enemy fighter is a Leader or a Champion, gain an extra 1 XP. • 1 XP if they took part in a battle (this XP is only gained if the scenario does not
grant XP for a model taking part in the battle).
    • 1 XP if they are Broken and successfully rally.
    • 1 XP if they provide Assistance to another fighter making a Recovery test who becomes Prone and Pinned.
*Note that fighters can only gain XP for Seriously Injuring or taking an enemy fighter Out of Action once per enemy fighter per activation. For instance, if a fighter causes an enemy fighter   to suffer a Serious Injury, and then performs a Coup De Grace(Free) action, they would only gain the 2 XP for causing the enemy fighter to go Out of Action.

Is anybody up for playing a learning game with me at Ordo on Tuesday the 26th or Thursday the 28th? Ideally I would like to try and get a few in before the campaign starts.

I thought I posted yesterday, but looks like I failed.

I'm down to host learning games up until we kickoff - Tuesday is great, I could likely make Thursday work as well.  I'll plan on Tuesday, unless i hear different.

  7. We’ll adapt in the changes from the new rulebook as much as possible, but since it’s not readily available for sale - the old (Necromunda rulebook hardback, Ash wastes, hive war or dark uprising softbacks) are basically the same.   If I’m able I’ll pull together a cheat sheet of changes.

I believe Scotty’s intention is 40 xp, distributed among your gangers as you see fit.   There’s no cost associated, but the gang rating will increase by the appropriate amount (I can help check maths down the road).

Very few scenarios (maybe nine) will be ‘crew - custom selection unlimited’. (Not looking at the rulebook, please correct me with what therm terminology actually is)

Most scenarios will be a max crew of 10 models, so you could get away with having some gangers doubled up, and be pretty safe if not running into any issues.  Or you and your opponent can agree to hand wave any that come up.

(cawdor and hive scum can break that rule a little bit, but basically 10 models will be max in a given scenario)

I also have a bunch of models for most any gang, as well as hired guns, etc - and am willing to loan them out at Ordo.

no one should feel like they have to go get more models or paint up new ones.  If the campaign spurs you to do that because you want to - hey, Ordo is all about us enabling each other.

to that end - if anybody wants to play and doesn’t have a gang - shoot me a pm here or on discord - i can conceivably put together loaners, or even ‘mercenary gangs’ to be used for drop in play.  (Non campaign players)

sorry - just a hodgepodge of answers to stuff I saw on a lunch break - I’ll aim to sit down and do a more thorough Q+A over the weekend or an evening.

Of course, my work turned upside down, crazy busy, the day after we announced this.

  8. Hey all.  Collaborating with Scotty as I come out of hibernation.

Can folks sound off on what's the best schedule, etc for gaming for them?  (Ish, feel free to @ everyone on your interested list)

Historically, we've had good success with a regular Meetup on Tuesdays or Thursdays at Wow, with People able to arrange other games elsewhere.

Would folks be able to commit to a pre-scheduled league format, similar to what Blood Bowl does?  pickup challenges week by week make it hard for everyone to stay on equal-ish footing.

Tentatively thinking of starting in Oct - with learning games happening up until then.  Asking for a 6/7 week commitment from folks.  I'll double this post in the Discord to try and catch folks everywhere.

I'll be there at 4:30-5 - Hoping I can get a game of ash wastes in with @ninefinger, and if not I'll bring some killteam stuff and 1000 points of tau just in case!

Was meaning to send you a message - I"m gearing up to be out of town on a work trip all of next week, so I've got home life things to try and tackle tonight.    I should be back in town 1/26, though and looking forward to a rematch!

Thanks ya'll glad you like it -- I have the usual plastic stack backlog 😁 so theres much more to come down the line (this was just the starting go!). I think I'll try to bring it in for a show and tell on one of the necromunda hobby nights to meet some folks and share some hobby love.

Is there a campaign going right now? When are folks generally turning up for Necromunda?

I really fancy doing a narrative campaign but -- baby steps lol -- I've got the plastic though

Are folks digging into Ash Wastes yet?

Not sure whether you've gotten linked in to the discord yet - just sent you a friend request so that I can send you an invite?  (not 100% clear on how discord works sometimes)

Anyways.  We don't currently have much of a regular group, but I've got a handful of folks that are interested.  I'm typically able to do Tuesdays or Thursdays at the clubhouse (typically one or the other,)  I've done a couple demo games recently, and am hoping to schedule some learn to play events later this month at the club and/or some FLGSs.

I haven't acutally played any ashwastes yet, but I've got a giant pile of vehicles and most anything needed, and would love to grind through a couple games with someone and try and get up to speed.

Heya!  Sorry I just saw this.  I'd love to get some necromunda in anytime.  I've got plenty of gangers and gribblies.  Happy to run a demo game or just throw down some skirmishes whenever.

My work schedule has been hectic of late, but Tuesdays and Thursdays should be good in the upcoming weeks, just let me know what works for you.
