No Dark Eldar left? Sad day. Why are all the good events in WA? I need to move lol.

Apparently my opinion struck a nerve lol. Didn't mean to de-rail the thread or start a debate. Just wanted to cast my vote and give a reason why. I just find more pleasure in games with a ton of rules and lots of options. I like pouring over a 265 pg. rulebook. To me that equates to "tactical depth". AoS at least has a lot of rules and options through the war scrolls. I also feel the fluff is the best of the three options. I would like to stress I am just trying to state my personal reasons for my decisions. I am not trying to debate anyone. KoW isnt bad. It's just not for me. Btw I miss playing all of you :(

Homebrewed versions of 8th don't interest me. I have tried a few games of KoW AND it's way too bland for me. The combination of poor tactical depth, little variety in the way units behave, and boring fluff. Just kills it for me. I hate to say it but I would rather play AoS with some kind of comp system.

Will the league days start at 4 PM too? I am hoping for mornings if its always on a Sunday.

I didn't realize there are free terrain PDF files for download on the infinity website. Although I prefer fully textured 3 dimensional terrain. I went ahead and printed about 12 freight containers on card stock, cut and glued them together. I will eventually replace them, but I recommend them if you're on a budget and want to fill your table with some full color terrain.

Perfect, because that is exactly the style I prefer in games!

I finished assembling the models from the Icestorm box last night. Although I hate assembling metal models I am really impressed with the sculpts. These models look amazing. I love proportions of the different models vs the majority of the GW models I am used to. I especially love Mobile Brigada. He reminds me of Ultron from The Avengers. I also picked up the Nomads Bakunin starter pack the other day. Which probably wasn't the wisest thing to buy next but I liked the models. I plan on painting the first starter set today and tomorrow. Hopefully I can get them at least table ready for this Sunday. Anyone have any advice on what I should buy next or how I should use what I have? I really like, hacking, drones, infiltrating, and the 2 reverand models I have. Granted I still don't fully understand how any of it works lol.

All great advice so far. I downloaded the free rules already. Are there any free rules for any of the units too? It would be nice to proxy for a few games and see what I like.

I generally liked to play defensive with a counter punch when using my Tomb Kings. While I enjoyed overwhelming my opponents with shooting and speed with high elves. Which was usually anchored by one anvil like white lions.

I have decided that Infinity will be my new go to game as well. I am glad that people I know from the fantasy community are getting involved in a different game that appeals to me. I still cant decide on a faction though. I have drilled down my choices to nomads, Ardiana, and Aleph. Things that appeal to me. I like being the underdog or the faction that no one really plays. I prefer armies that take a little finesse vs brute force. I like having tons of options as long as the majority of them are viable. I would appreciate any suggesstions based on the info I have provided.

Ughhhh I thought seeing the actual game play might change my mind. I can't believe the lack of depth to this game. They essentially turned fantasy into 40k without vehicles. With a dumbed down movement phase, psychic phase, shooting phase and assault phase. Hopefully the majority of people feel the way I do and vote no on this garbage by refusing to buy this product. I really hope this thing is a complete failure.
