The event will be narrative driven event though we are using matched play. It is our intent to encourage people to try to bring themed lists that you think your opponents will enjoy playing against. By all means play to win, but I would discourage folks from prioritizing winning over having a good time. Myself (Wiley) and Brent are running the event and we will be doing our best to encourage this kind of environment.

Played one and watched one 2000 point game with the book last night and it was awesome! It's still a bit early but this has a chance of being my favorite edition of fantasy. The points and scenarios seem very balanced so far and the rules changes in combination with army restrictions make a HUGE difference.

Both AoS and 9th age are a bust for The Blacksheep. A handful of us are playing Infinty now, 2 guys are playing KoW and the the rest of us aren't even playing miniature games. I expect to continue to see a decline in Fantasy in general. While games like Infinty and Malifaux continue to grow in popularity. It's sad but it is what it is at this point.

Miniature market is awful. Every sale they have ever had is sold out immediately. I don't even bother looking at their site anymore.

Thanks for all the responses. It sounds like allies are pretty widely excepted. I definitely don't want comp, but I would like to see a mix of events. Some with allies and some without. Either way it's still better then AoS ????

I like allies as an every so often kind of deal. I like that it lends to unique and creative armies. However, I don't care for it in a standard tournament. KoW has done a great job of providing balanced armies. While allies clearly throws that out the window by changing the inherent strengths and weaknesses of each army. What does everyone else think? Do you think all tournaments will allow allies going forward?
