I have the rules. They consistently come back. After describing that they come back on a 4+ it states: "...roll a d6 as above if they are subsequently destroyed." Too powerful. There is a reason dataslates/formations are not allowed at national-level GTs.

Deep breath guys. GW doesn't give a [big bad swear word]. But the sky isn't falling. Just do what most of the major GTs are doing. No dataslates/formations, no escalation, no stronghold assault, NO LORDS OF WAR. The frontline guys that just put on the Las Vegas Open (*borat voice* great success!) went further to allow only one ally per army, and changed 2++ re-rollable to a 2++/4++. I hear the tournies at DTG are modelled after Frontline Gaming events but allow datslates. I would go all the way and ban those too. That's just my opinion. I've been playing 40k since second edition. But the major GTs have it together, you cannot allow everything. It is just not appropriate at a tournament level.

Saturday is fine. What point level/time are you looking at?

Until the wife moves up to join me, all I'm doing after work is going to the gym. So I thought I'd see if anyone wants to get a game in. I'll be at boardgame night Friday, what time is that again? So I'm open tomorrow (Wednesday the 26th) or Thursday at 5. Also Saturday/Sunday whenever. I'd prefer 1850 or 1750 but I don't mind a smaller game if you prefer. Any takers?

Alex fennel is a friend of mine. I heard ppl on Bols are upset but I haven't read the thread. I don't see the problem. He took one of the strongest builds in the game to a competitive GT. A GT that nerfed it a bit via their FAQ mind you. I played the IG thudd list to prove a point to Reece that thudds are stupid. After winning best general b4 the top 8 on sunday, I like to think I proved said point. Also he promised me I could use Belakor before the voting thing lol.

Since I'm moving to the area I did a search to find out if there were any local stores. Been a few years since I've had one. I stopped in last week and chatted with a few of you hamsters including your hamster overlord/organizer haha. National events are great, but I miss the fun local atmosphere.

I don't think I played any of you guys that made it to the event. But I'm moving to the Bellingham area soon and am looking forwards to doing so. The store looks great and I already met some of the local Warhamsters. Cheers, Gareth
