I play Finns regularly. They are a good force for all three periods of play but are tough to win with as the support options they have are weak or point heavy. If you are in the Olympia/Tacoma area, I would be more than happy to test lists with you as you come back into the game.

Curious to see if there would be any interest in starting a small Sunday group in an escalation league? Sunday's generally work best and OCC is fair commenting distance for me. Group thoughts?

L.H.: I cannot make OCC on weekdays, the traffic is just too much to get through for any good game play.

The game was successful even if the Americsns were driven from the board twice. We even recruited a new player and the store has interest in an escalation league. More to follow.

I will be bringing a force to play Saturday morning. Should be there close to opening time and hoping to play two matches or so at LW 1420.

What is up with the MW spread 1850/1700? Does the organizer of the tournament judge the points used?

Great match with MW Finns beating back Fallscrimjager 6-1. Next week the Finns leave the defense and go hunting.

Awesome battle. Tiger Schwere Company supported with three Panthers and Van Sacken. hero took on a reluctant trained Panther company. We played two matches and the a Tigers dominated both on offense and defense. An excellent battle.

I will be there closer to 6:30, have some Army work to deal with.

Monday January 18th is a federal holiday. I think that would be a good long range target. Depending on my military weekend, I could do Tanksgiving. I am interested in what the masses say.

if you guys come up from PDX, I think Olympia would be a good place to meet. Being that the Vancouver area is hosting a tournament in November and December is chalked full of holiday distractions, I would recommend the three day weekend in January. We could run a tournament of just a good day long scramble on the tables. Thoughts?

If you were in the Tacoma area I would recommend play testing before you commit in our group. Being that you are in the Portland area, I believed there is a solid group at Terra Crux (sp?). Point being, you need to see which special rules match your style of play along with the model variations. You also might consider picking a core nation (GE, BR or RU) and avoid micros or special nations because you want a nation that plays Early War all the way to the end or run the risk of building multiple companies to play the theater everyone picks. Armor lists tend to be cheaper on the pocket book, but are harder to win with. Russians require a painting standard that will test your mental will because there are so darn many of them Good luck

Local 253 is going to skirmish on 21 Oct from 6pm to 9pm 1500 points, LW, tracks only. Two solid players and two tentative players. I hope more can make it out.

If the fight is on one day or there is the option to attend for a day, I could come down and might be able to bring a couple of folks with me. When the crowd finalizes the details, I will let you know if "we" can make it.
