Brother Glacius Posted July 30, 2018 Report Posted July 30, 2018 Kind of surprising a little, but I rarely see threads about PAX on Ordo. I've never been myself but would love to go some day (although honestly, I have this fear that I'm too old for it now). This year does not work out for me, but wanted to start making plans for next year hopefully. Just curious if anyone out there regularly goes, or perhaps has tips or advice on going? The only events that I'd really want to go to are the Acquisitions Inc. games/panels. Not sure if I'd need a full weekend pass for that or not. Anyways, any info from people that have actually gone would be great. 1 1 Quote
Romans832 Posted July 30, 2018 Report Posted July 30, 2018 You now have to buy daily passes, no more weekend pass. Fri - Monday My brother-in-law watches the tweets and the moment they announce tickets are for sale he buys mine, his bro's, his own, and this year some for a friend. But you have to be on your A game for that to work. I hadn't been since the year before PAX East was announced... so I think 9 years ago, right before I moved up here. @PumpkinHead & I had a great time. Last year I went two days and that was PLENTY for me. I took the bus up and the bus home, SUPER easy. This year I'm going opening day and I think that'll be plenty for me. I just don't follow PC games like I used to.. With that said I do have Dauntless & Monster World Hunter PC just so the two Bro-in-laws are forced to include me in their gaming world. (Cough cough) This will be the third game purchased by their request... thus far only one game played... You're NEVER too old for PAX man. And if all goes right, you could crash at our new place and bus up daily if you wanted to. 2 Quote
Romans832 Posted August 29, 2018 Report Posted August 29, 2018 It's this weekend!!! Anyone else going? I'm leaving at 3pm on Friday... anyone interested in taking the afternoon shift? 1 Quote
Brother Glacius Posted August 30, 2018 Author Report Posted August 30, 2018 maybe next year. I really don't like that the schedule doesn't go up until after the tickets are sold out. How does that make any sense? 1 Quote
deadwing34 Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 Yah I used to go for a few years, its a crazy cool event but it just got harder and harder to get tickets and the lines for all of the cool stuff just keep getting longer. For now I prefer to go to OFCC, Gamestorm or the Retro Gaming Expo local smaller events. 1 Quote
