DustGod
Here's a "not hard rules" question from our last game. Our last match was the first time I ran an all Camo Army... I really botched the deployment and organization of the Camos Tokens. It was the very first time that I had that many Camo Tokens on the board.... So what I'm looking for here is more advice from you guys... When you deploy an Army that has so many Camo Tokens how do you guys organize it? The current thought that we have is next time: Set the entire Army up where it's going to be deployed, my Mine Markers where Camo-Mines will be, Models that are in Camo where they actually be Deployed. Take a picture(s) of the battlefield the same ways a hidden deployment set up and then turn around and replace everything with Camo Tokens and bring your opponent back into the area to begin. What do you guys do when placing lots if Camo Tokens? @Ichi CC'd as this was a Mishap from our "Keystone Cop" T.A.G. Battle Sunday Thanks in Advance
Natetehaggresar
Use the numbers on the camo tokens and note on your private list what number corresponds to what list elements. In a less formal setting, I don't typically take notes. As you get more experienced you'll get more familiar with your force and won't mis-deploy your camo. Of course this all varies based on meta. I don't typically make it to ordo so I don't know what's expected locally. Your camera method can work too. Honestly I can't remember ever being asked to wip out my camera and prove a hidden deployment, even at a tournament. If you need to win so bad you cheat you can have it.
rudra34
The more camo I had the more this was an issue. Eventually I started to model my own markers which were all slightly different, then before deployment I make a note of which is which. Use the numbers on the basic camo markers to do the same, or draw a symbol on each of them to denote some sort of difference. If you have more than 4 definitely write down what they are for your sake and your opponents.
DustGod
I think for right now the camera method would probably be the best in till I have a better grasp on camo deployment... Almost wanted to use the different colored camo markers for the different units but then that's going to give away things like laying mines and such... I have something like 40 camo tokens 20 sheets of cardstock and another couple hundred acrylic button so I think I might create a complete camo set and dedicate a few with actual unit names underneath them... Thanks for the tips guys... about 8 games in... we're getting it
Raindog
I use different camo markers colors for my different units to help remember me.
DustGod
I think that's what I'll do. We have the Tokens to do it.. or the resources to make more
Sgt. Rock
I used to bring a note pad with me to game night and jot down who was under what number. Over time, I just learned to keep track (and also started playing with fewer camo markers, though that's likely to change with TAK.)
