What if each team was also required to submit a table as well?

Yes, as part of the requirements.  This would present a bit more of a challenge for Merc Teams, but that's where they can pull together and show us what Card Board and Gatoraid bottles can do!  This would relieve some of the weight on the Senate, would add a unique edge to the OFCC that other events don't have.  It would allow teams who want to go the next step and turn their Table into a thematic display board, as some are already doing.

Pros?  Cons?  Other ideas?

I think that would drive attendance down, personally.

Why does asking for 2'x4' of terrain from a group of 4 people cause that idea?  Not asking them to bring the 4x6, just the toppers.  Now, if they wanted to, that'd be on them.

That is to say, why do you think it would drive it down?

We do have a table builder contest already running during OFCC and it is open to everyone. Keeping it optional and open to all game systems is better and will continue.

We do not and will not have a terrain shortage for 40k and AoS/fantasy purposes. Growing games like Infinity could pose a challenge if we didn't have so many in the community step up and bring tables.
